Well done to the author. That was so well articulated and so true as well. People don't realise how important good health is until they lose it ,and ,sadly ,this generation of children are being sucked into a cult which cares nothing for their future health or wellbeing. They just want to make money and seize power for themselves by gaslighting the young and turning them into foot soldiers for the global communist regime they're planning for us. We need to stop that from happening by getting this out of schools and banning it completely from healthcare settings everywhere !! Thanks to the author.👍👏♥️
An excellent piece. Thank you for pointing out all these things. Anyone who has survived cancer and is in remission knows this. We could probably come up with a great plan book for when you kid says they are trans.
1. Get a job, hard labor preferred and work as soon as you are able. (babysit, walk dogs if you are under 18) or pick up garbage
2. Visit and volunteer among veterans without limbs.
3. Go spend 10 hours with grandma and grandpa per week, understand their problem list
4. Volunteer for the homeless shelters (live in situations do happen).
5. Be homeless for a day with kids to worry about, a place to stay and eat with a budget of $5 a day.
6. Volunteer in a cancer ward
7. Talk to a breast cancer survivor
8. Live a month without the internet
9. Write a paper about changing a dog to a cat and how that would work out.
10. Learn about sex stereotypes
11. Spend time on Detrans Reddit (with dad or mom)
Great essay. Indeed, perfect health has been sacrificed to the attention one gets under constant medical "care." These kids don't comprehend what they're throwing away. There's absolutely no excuse for the parents condoning this in their under 18 progeny. It must be beyond painful to be the parent of someone destroying themselves like this, and be unable to do anything about it. Reminds me of my parents helplessly watching as I drove away drunk -- careening down our block --this memory still brings me pain....and that's nothing compared to witnessing a blatant disregard for one's body.
At the Y, I see many OBESE Gen Z. As for my Boomer self, extra weight (and I do see it as 'extra' causes a kind of "dysphoria." I become extremely uncomfortable in my body. The lack of engagement in the physical self may have something to do with this "dysphoria" in young people. They aren't using their bodies, therefore they have little idea what they're missing. Case in point: my first job (1979) involved physical labor. I recall the thrill of driving all day with a cigarette clenched in my teeth, but soon realized that smoking slowed me down. I didn't feel well. It made carrying water buckets up and down stairs more difficult. So I stopped smoking. I also stopped eating sugar during the day because it made me tired. This said, I can't help wondering whether there's just not enough physical demand on these kids to comprehend what the damage that they are doing to themselves.
Of course living in a healthy body with healthy functioning systems matter. As each day passes into the next, it becomes clearer that the institution of medicine is simply another pawn in the macro-game of transhumanism (the devolution of the human race). The more disassociated we become from our bodies (ask any “trans” young person about this to do your own investigating), the more desensitized we become to chopping real body parts off & attaching fake body parts on. If anyone has the stomach for watching & listening to old Marilyn Manson videos/songs, he’s one example of a pop icon who saw what was rolling out ahead. Have to give thanks to a cousin for schooling me on that. In the next 10 years, as Mr. Schwab blumbles (my word for how he speaks), humans will exist as a combination of the physical, biological, & digital. AI anyone?
NYT daily podcast has an episode today about the medical profession doing surgery on newborns that are tongue tied. It's a money maker and scandal and heart breaking. Very much the same conversation as gender medical care. It's very well done.
Damn straight, a healthy body absolutely matters! For those of us with serious body image disorders (gender dysphoria, eating disorders, substance addictions, etc.) it takes a ton of hard work and sacrifice, not just from us, but from those who love us, to get our mind in sync with our body. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, but it can be done. Just when you think you can’t make it one more day, log onto PITT, ask for support and prayers, and you’ll get enough momentum to get up the next day and try again. My mother did it, when support was not a click away, and my twin sister is alive and well, because of her hard work, sacrifice, and grit.
I wrote something similar to this about a year ago (but not on PITT). I lamented how little people care about health (okay, kids are too young to understand what they're doing, but what about teh adults?) but I wondered how many kids and adults look at children and young people ruining their perfectly healthy bodies and wondering, "Oh, if only I could have his healthy body & I wasn't confined to this wheelchair! I might not even mind being a boy like him if I could run around and play with the other kids!" "It would be so great if I didn't have to excrete into this colostomy bag, I wish I could be like that kid! Why does she want to hurt herself like that!" I used an example of a childhood friend who died at 4 of leukemia. Maybe being who you are doesn't suck so much if you consider you're not living in a hospital with a bald head and a wizened body and you look eight going on 60.
Maybe, as you note, they'll appreciate their formerly healthy body when they don't have it anymore, and can't walk without pain because of the osteoporosis they signed up for decades before its time.
Someone in another substack posted pictures of what the various "top" and "bottom" surgeries look like, it was something that I badly wish I could unsee. It looked like some kind of torture from the worst minds of World War 2. Some of the most horrific mutilation I've ever witnessed. And a lot of it is being driven by money and fear of transgender activism. People have to open their eyes to what is really going on here.
Also, medical/insurance fraud indeed, as this treatment is sometimes billed not only as "medication management," but also as "endocrine disorder," with the rationale that trans children have pathological hormone levels because of their "actual sex" not matching their "sex (erroneously, as they would say) assigned at birth. Doctors actually creating endocrine disorders by giving wrong sex hormones to healthy bodies and billing the "treatment" as corrective.
This resonated with me in oh-too-many-ways to go into, but the most salient was exemplified in a recent futile, yet still not regretted, battle of words in which I engaged on Facebook. I objected to the recent Girl Scout meme that read something to the effect of "Before you buy Girl Scout cookies you should know they support transgender girls and reject donations from anti-transgender
organizations, and then buy a couple more boxes," with "This could read very differently if it said that '...they support feminine boys thinking they need to become girls instead of being allowed to grow up to be effeminate gay men and reject donations from organizations (like GENSPECT and SEGM) trying to protect children from harmful misogynistic and homophobic gender ideology that also supports giant pharmaceutical companies.'" To make a very long exchange short, one mom and I argued back and forth. She proudly (transhausenly?) presented herself as the parent of two "gender expansive" children, one "AFAB" who "for now" is trying being female again after a time of male identification. In one of my responses, I said that I was glad for her that her daughter had avoided medicalization of her apparent "fluid" identity. Well, she laid into me, saying my response was bigoted, and that she is not at all glad that her child gave up the "beautiful" questioning, and that I was inciting irrational, unreasonable fear of hormones and surgery! As long as I've been in this gender ideology madness, I still cannot believe the degree of mass delusion and minimization or Orwellian rebranding of the harms being done to children.
Holy $hit. Pardon my french. As unbelievable as it is to hear it we need to hear these peoples say it all. I don’t remember who said it or where I read it but “let them speak “. We have to know the depths of their delusions. Let them vomit their beliefs out loud for all to hear. And then we work from there.
Wow, Lisa, amazing that you were able to engage with such irrational people. Despite her laying into you, perhaps you actually made this delusional mother think. (We can only hope!)
I think she only got more entrenched in her beliefs and was love bombed by others reading and DMing her in the background, as she made sure to let me know. But the New York Times important piece was published the next day wonderfully coincidentally, so I hope she saw it
and heard every single thing that I said echoed in the column.
A good written piece - thank you for sharing. You wrote "...keep up the pretense" EXACTLY! Not only do we all have to be inconvenienced by "pretending" that transgender is real, but we have to also ignore the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being of anyone who believes they were born in the wrong body. Totally ludicrous. This cult is so evil and anyone who promotes it, supports it, and affirms it is committing a crime against humanity. First and foremost, as a parent your job is to protect your child, but groomers began to interfere with a parent's rights to protect their child. Now parents are not allowed to parent and their opinions no longer matter if a child thinks they are trans. Total strangers are making decisions regarding other people's children and these children are being harmed. Hard to believe this is really happening around the world, but it is. We must stay connected, stay strong, and continue fighting this cult together so the truth will prevail.
It makes no sense to me that my daughter is reluctant to take pain meds for a headache, yet she is taking testosterone. I can't understand the cognitive dissonance there.
And that some of the same parents who rant about big pharma and gave their kids organic milk growing up (I am in that category.) sign them up for puberty blockers and cross sex hormones (I am not in that category.).
I'll put this out there, not a conspiracy theorist, but it's a point to consider. All of the talk of a "climate crisis" and the ensuing discussion of the need to reduce the population to achieve these insane goals, does it not make sense a society that embraces and PROMOTES basically the sterilization of our youth, and adults, is willing to deny (or ignore) this is happening? Any medical/psychiatric professional can see the common thread of medical and psychological issues affecting people who believe they should transition. Where is the common sense to treat those conditions instead of telling them yes, you should transition?
And I will also note, all through the covid horror, where were the doctors who told you how to strengthen your immune system, where was the advice from the "professionals" on the news every day telling you how to stay healthy? Those were the doctors being fired for their anti narrative views who treated thousands of covid patients successfully. And why were certain drugs banned that were proven to help? The proof is out there.
Another point, synthetic meat? Really? How healthy is that?
I believe there is a case to be had that health is not important in this country, but making money while sacrificing the lives of an entire generation and ending their ability to reproduce is an unspoken truth.
And the people leading the charge in future "health" matters? The loudest being a college drop out with too much money and time on his hands. But I digress.
It also made me think about how many of us are inadvertently setting a bad example sometimes.
Do you ever say in front of your kids "I need a drink" , thus medicalizing your emotional distress with alcohol? Do you joke about "retail therapy", medicalizing your emotional distress with useless crap? Do you pop a pill for minor aches rather than waiting for it to pass ? I am guilty of this last one. Yes, that's medicalizing physical not emotional pain but there is also a long-term cost, and we should be mindful of it. This comment is not meant as a way to blame or shame anyone, I don't think that parents' behavior is the main culprit of anyone's child falling for trans identity, but it's important for us to see what we can change and improve in ourselves

This is brilliant. I love this perspective. And for the record, the comments on this are really intelligent and useful.

Hippocratic Oath? I think this whole debacle of medical transitioning is in direct conflict. It’s sure not science OR good medicine.
They should all be ashamed.

Yup. All of it.
I call it woke eugenics. And I agree that it is part of a larger goal of, to quote Ebenezer Scrooge, “decrease the surplus population.”
This is an excellent article!
