Dear wonderful, brave, wise women,
Thank you for being the voice of reason in the world where children can consent to be mutilated before they have a chance to learn that gender and biological sex are two different things.
I urge you, however, to stand up not only for children, but also for teenage girls.
I'm sure you are aware that the majority of those seeking medical transition are teenage girls with ROGD (Rapid (post puberty) Onset Gender Dysphoria). So painfully and obviously, they are the victims of the social contagion, reinforced by well-meaning teachers, terrified therapists and unethical medical professionals.
While in practical and legal terms they are children, most people don't realize that the trans-identifying cohort has changed drastically in recent years. Almost everyone seems to agree that “transing” children is wrong, but the opinion changes when we talk about teens and young adults. Aren’t they old enough to consent? No, they aren't. Don’t they know, with certainty, that they were born in the wrong body? No, they don't.
The teen cohort is entirely unstudied, yet it is clear that they are very different from the childhood-identification gender dysphoria. They are as vulnerable, used and manipulated as younger kids, and with the current social and social media pressures, they are running out of time to desist.
Your website brought tears to my eyes, not only because you are speaking up when so many of us still can’t, but also because it is too dangerous for you to share your names. It is too dangerous for me to share your posts—my gender-questioning teen-age son is in exploratory talk therapy which has recently become illegal, and I can’t jeopardize his safety. Canada, my beautiful free country, what have you done?
Much love to you and everyone involved in this project. Please, do take Twitter by storm! Take the world by storm!!!
"Canada, what have you done?". I hope they wake up and realize it soon.
