With the new Executive Order, I have wondered what will happen to all the children who drank the poison - how do they undo what was done? How do they fit back into society? What will be their normal existence? Living a lie and suddenly reading, hearing, seeing, and finding out the truth will no doubt be devastating. It will take time, of course, but the "T" will leave the Alphabet group and those who want to hang on to the "T" will be less accepted, tolerated, and supported. It is a very sad and difficult situation for many, many people. I hope that there is going to be reconciliation and healing across our nation for all the broken families. I pray this will give hope to parents who lost a child to follow "T" and that families will be reunited. There needs to be accountability for all the groomers and affirmers who pushed and promoted the "T" agenda. Finally - the tide has indeed turned. The wrong is being made right and the USA can begin to recover. I hope this time in history never gets repeated...
I’m hoping with this EO that maybe the lawsuits will start pouring in. Those that have lost their jobs because they didn’t agree with this ideology or the young people who are now disfigured because of clueless therapists and doctors will have some backing when they finally get their day in court. Maybe if they hit them where it hurts, the wallet, they’ll stop the madness!
I noticed, the standing ovation was a testimony of the sentiments, when Trump announce there are two genders, male and female. No other words he said received this much enthusiasm during the inaugural speech.
Since the signing of this EO, I have heard Trump say that sex change surgeries will now become extremely rare. I'd like to see him ban puberty blockers and wrong sex hormones too, which I think is coming next. There's so much money wrapped up in all of this, it will take some time.
Now, about that *trans* Oscar nominee for best "actress" and the 13 nominations for that hideous, really bad film. They're still trying to stick it to America. And they'll probably win. Grrrrr!
There was actually some real fear that he would pre-empt the Supreme Court by banning gender-enforcing medical interference in minors. Fortunately, he has not.
We want the Supreme Court to rule against medical gender-enforcement in minors, bringing the US in line with most liberal democracies of Europe (as seems very likely). If the president were to pre-empt that, it would make the Supreme Court decision moot. They might still rule on it. But they might very well toss out their decision, to focus on more pressing issues.
"Trump didn't do it right." "Trump went too far." "Trump didn't go far enough." C'mon people! He didn't do that alone. That was a collaboration. And. This. Is. A. HUGE. WIN! Things are simply not the same as they were even 3 days ago. Take the win. Give credit where it's due. Look to the future. Only Trump and his terf allies could have gotten the ball rolling.
His EO shut down the pediatric gender clinics at UVA and VCU (where I work) WITHIN HOURS after the Virginia AG sent the universities a memo underscoring the legal and financial risks in continuing. ALL federal research funding at the universities was at risk. It was absolutely beautiful.
I can see why you'd feel that way, but I still believe EOs are the wrong way to go. I'm sure some people will look back at this time and feel they dodged a bullet thanks to Trump's actions, so there will definitely be some positive outcomes. But for a model of the right way to end GAC, look to Europe. See how the CASS report was commissioned AND results were respected. That's not the case in the US. Trump's EO is causing an abrupt shift for which no one was prepared, and both medical providers and GAC recipients were NOT on board. There was no changing of minds, no gradual winding down of a program or easing patients off of GAC. It's making these people all the more angry and determined to find a way around his EO, and to elect someone who will reverse it.
You do know that Trump's EOs were undoing Biden's EOs, right? And that the majority of Americans are behind him doing so? Granted, I'm no fan of them, they are not true & honest legislation in my view. But if one president plays a stupid tyrannical game with them, then the next one can wipe them out. Unfortunately that's how it's done these days.
With Trump now elected by a majority, the tide has ideologically turned at the top. The idea, that trans is all powerful and must be adopted by everyone, because it is the "only right thing to do" has reached the horizon of reasonability. There is no other option now than to discuss openly and honestly, what this means for trans as a pseudocult and the parents and children involved. A clear sign has be planted in the middle of the road, "up to here and no further". Now it is up to us to build bridges and reconcile the estranged in our caring midst.
Official documents like passports must reflect reality not vibes/feelings. Plus, doesn't the ER doctor need to know the facts? Then, there is the problem that words like "man" and "woman" cease to have any meaning and make the country a joke.
I do not think that society should encourage people to flee from reality and self harm by the greedy medical establishment - telling the vulnerable that everybody will totally believe they are not their own sex if they just self harm by doctor enough (or that one can be born into a "wrong" body). No one is fooled. We are just pressured into gaslighting others (and teachers gaslight the naive at school). By now, we have all watched and listened to "Chase Strange-io" (The first and last names must both be made up?) She sounds like she takes in helium and the cadence of her speech is all female. She has tiny shoulders and could never have fathered a child. So, maybe a random photo can fool people (didn't photography "prove" that fairies existed in the 1800s? Didn't we all decide that photos lie in the 1970s?) Outside of a random photo, we are just lying to people who need Real help - like that poor United Airlines flight attendant, Scott, who committed suicide after tremendous affirmation/confirmation/a slick ad campaign (maybe such advertising abused him?) "Affirmation"/gaslighting hurts the person with the cult belief/"trans" ideation and it hurts the rest of society.
Using cosmetic "sex changes" to treat a psychological (and now also a big time social problem especially among girls & young women) is a major bad idea for people - at least in most cases. The doctor who ran the first such clinic closed it down when he found it did not improve mental health:

That "but it is a tiny percentage of the population" narrative is a fallacy. It is not such a small population anymore - which should raise red flags. It is a billion dollar industry.

I want to love this but the requirement that everyone’s sex be shown on their passport is a huge nonstarter. For most trans people it is extremely important that their sex not be revealed except in situations that demand it. Unless one wants to make it untenable for fully transitioned trans adults to navigate the world with a modicum of sanity, this requirement is inhumane. Better to not include sex information on identification at all. It’s superfluous.
In short, this requirement makes the EO truly anti-trans and therefore unnecessarily vulnerable to criticism.
Sex is a public fact, listed on IDs, and always has been. It is important for numerous reasons -- identifying missing persons, deceased persons, criminal suspects, as well as medical treatment if someone is unconscious, and, of course, checking records in the rare cases where sex needs to be verified, i.e. registering for a sports competition.
I can imagine some reasonable compromises to help trans people, but removing sex from IDs is not one of them.
We are very happy the new requirements by the state department. It will definitely let many new trans candidates to think twice about what they will get into. It could have a huge impact on lowering the demand to become a trans hero.
There is no such thing as "anti-trans." The transgenderist lobby of Republican multi-millionaire James Pritzker is anti-women, anti-gay, and anti-child safeguarding.
There is also no such thing as lying about yourself with "a modicum of sanity." Pretending you are the opposite sex is a mental disorder. That, by itself, invalidates the claim of "a modicum of sanity."
Nations do not issue legal identification in order to pander to the preferences of people caught up in the Trans Moral Panic. And sex is a very, very basic aspect of identifying whether someone is, in fact, the person named in the documentation. So if you want government documents, you'd better be willing to tell the truth on them. Otherwise, do without.
And you still have to stay out of the single-sex spaces of the opposite sex.
Also, if you are male (without or without documentation), you don't get to identify as female. Oppressors don't get to identify as those they oppress. Everyone knows that's disgusting and wrong. And the only oppressed people even expected to put up with it are--guess who?--the largest and most violently oppressed group of people in all human history:
You hit the nail on the head with everything I was thinking. I read the executive order and I agree it was beautifully written, sums up my thoughts exactly.
But I didn’t cheer when Trump announced it; I was more stunned with the collective PTSD we as parents have…”I can’t believe I’m living in a time where a president is legislating the most common sense principles.” And I’m afraid of the pushback. My head has really been reeling. But I support the executive order 100%.
Of course there will be pushback. How could there not be? This plain spoken, nuts-and-bolts reassertion of biological reality could not have been possible under a Harris administration. But somebody had to break the spell. Trump was that person, because he’s not owned, he says whatever he likes, and he was elected largely because he promised to tackle the gender insanity, among other things, and to follow it through to its successful conclusion.
He’s not afraid of a fight, and he will have the support of millions of people, including disaffected Democrats like me.
Trump says whatever works to his advantage in the moment. He has no principles, no core values, no beliefs, goals or higher purpose other than to boost his own image. If he chooses a fight, it will be for the wrong reasons, and it will not have the results you hope for.
Your TDS blinds you to anything positive that he or his administration does. You are one of the crazy leftists that I voted against. You’re the kind of person that makes a lot of people vote for Trump so thank you. 🤣
I'm not a leftist. But I'm also not an idiot. Isn't it obvious that Trump is the one with TDS? He is deranged and dangerous! Be careful what you wish for.
As fantastic as it is to have objective reality restored in government, this Executive Order means nothing until it flows through to society. The words and intentions of the EO need to fill the hearts and brains of all the people who have been so enthusiastic about gender ideology, as well as those children and young adults who have been swept along. It is a great start but there will be people who subvert the order and who just cannot let the ideology go. So while I'm pleased with this positive step, and I hope it means future children are less likely to be harmed by gender woo woo, there will be no victory until all the lost children come back home.
No piece of legislation alone will reverse the gender madness; its tentacles are too deep. But this executive order needed to be written, and now it has been, giving voice to the thoughts of millions of people who knew all along that “gender identity” is bogus and makes no sense. It’s a first, huge, necessary step.
I wish that the language didn't loop lgbtqia+ all together. I would prefer to leave LGB and "i" and "a" out of it. Focus on T and "+". The Q is for queer and questioning - doesn't seem to apply to the EO. By looping in the LGB - it is of concern to me since they do not medicalize and their rights do not cause harm to women or children. Perhaps just me.
Let's not mess up our own brains by all these kids' alphabets games and grammar games. Get what we hoped for and run with it. There are more meanings in life than these brain wrecking "shits'. Forgive my language, dear!
Thinking you can change anyone with a decree like this is delusional. It will slow down the medical interventions ....possibly. But people's hearts and minds are not changed by anything anyone says. I think this is just so much dust in the wind when real surgery of the soul is needed.
This EO wasn’t written to change minds. It was written to rectify a corruption of law committed by the previous administration, which apparently thought it could codify gender identity in stone by ignoring biological reality. Adding the meaningless term “gender” to a law the original purpose of which was intended to protect the rights of women, was a sneaky ruse, a form of gaslighting. The new EO corrected that by defining the parameters of women’s rights as being for women only, not men who “identify” as women. In other words, the new EO is a way to get back to Square One, where actual human beings can only be of one sex or the other.
The deprogramming of millions of brainwashed children and adults will be harder, but clarifying what a woman is inherently forces ideologically captured people to confront the truth that they choose to ignore.
The EO is not a panacea, it is simply returning to baseline, with a reassertion of what we have always known to be true, based on biology, not ideology. In concrete terms, it restores the level playing field in women’s competitive sports, and protects women’s physical safety by removing violent, predatory men from single-sex spaces that exist for the protection of women.
We have a long way to go in terms of removing the threads of gender ideology that have been woven into the fabric of every aspect of culture. Simply deprogramming the millions of ideologically captured, well-meaning people, including medical professionals, teachers, leaders of countries, religious figures, politicians, attorneys and yes, parents and children alike, is going to take a long time.
But this EO says the quiet part out loud; i.e., the thing we haven’t been allowed to say. If Trump does nothing else, he has accomplished something significant beyond measure.
"The EO is not a panacea, it is simply returning to baseline, with a reassertion of what we have always known to be true, based on biology, not ideology."
This. I’m a longtime sober member of two 12 step fellowships, and I’ve had to apply the same principles of dealing with the diseases of alcoholism and addiction to dealing with those under the spell of gender ideology.
What do you mean it doesn't deal with trans issues at all?! Doesn't this establish clarity on the trans issue? Trans individuals are free to describe themselves how they wish but others are also free to accept their definitions of gender or not! This is a biological definition of sex difference based upon the evolutionary process that inevitably transitioned isogamy to anisogamy.
(a) “Sex” shall refer to an individual’s immutable biological classification as either male or female. “Sex” is not a synonym for and does not include the concept of “gender identity.”
(b) “Women” or “woman” and “girls” or “girl” shall mean adult and juvenile human females, respectively.
(c) “Men” or “man” and “boys” or “boy” shall mean adult and juvenile human males, respectively.
(d) “Female” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell.
(e) “Male” means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the small reproductive cell.
(f) “Gender ideology” replaces the biological category of sex with an ever-shifting concept of self-assessed gender identity, permitting the false claim that males can identify as and thus become women and vice versa, and requiring all institutions of society to regard this false claim as true. Gender ideology includes the idea that there is a vast spectrum of genders that are disconnected from one’s sex. Gender ideology is internally inconsistent, in that it diminishes sex as an identifiable or useful category but nevertheless maintains that it is possible for a person to be born in the wrong sexed body.
It sets the foundational facts that will affect the issues like drugs, surgeries, affirmation therapy, changing documents, etc. I think his team did a good job with the definitions.
Sorry but only God has "set the foundational facts" and thinking this man's actions can change and rescue our children is delusional and make believe thinking.
Exactly. He created us male and female; those are His foundational facts verified by science. I don't see anyone saying Trump will do that. What it does is put a stop to having our tax dollars spent on spreading the lies of gender theory especially in our schools, destroying women's rights, allowing men into women's sports and prisons, etc. It's up to us to use those prohibitions to find ways to protect more children from being captured by the trans cult.
With the new Executive Order, I have wondered what will happen to all the children who drank the poison - how do they undo what was done? How do they fit back into society? What will be their normal existence? Living a lie and suddenly reading, hearing, seeing, and finding out the truth will no doubt be devastating.
Preach it, sister.
your children will only be saved by themselves... no different than an alcoholic or a drug addict... they have to want to change.
Young people come out of cults quite quickly, once the cults die.
They came out of the Satanic moral panic remarkably quickly.
And they will come out of the Trans moral panic quickly as well.
