Help Heal My Moral Injury!
Please sign our petition (if you live in CA) or donate to help get the Protect Kids California Initiative on the ballot.
Will you help me heal my moral injury? Are you able to step beyond the political othering and help prevent what happened to my family in crazyville California from happening to others? Will you reach into your pocket, skip a meal in a restaurant, to return sanity to the most insane place in the country? For those in California, might you shove away your fear and collect signatures for the greater good? You have the opportunity to do just that with the Protect Kids California Initiative.
Back in 2015 I found myself on an unknowingly unscrupulous path. Hindsight being everything, had I known then what I know now, I believe my children and I would be in a completely different place, as would countless other families who have been sucked into the “gender” vortex.
When “gender” entered my world. I thought it was a harmless teenage rebellion. Kids kickin’ it to the man. I didn’t realize that the trusted adults around me, nearly all my liberal friends, were all being schooled in the new identity orthodoxy. The notion that someone could be born in the wrong body was in vogue. Anorexia was replaced with another aggressive means to self-loath and harm the body to address mental distress. I apparently missed the memo, while my daughters absorbed the new movement. My daughters were early adopters before the term “rapid onset gender dysphoria” was coined.
For a long time, I felt very alone and isolated and, of course, petrified once I understood the medical harm associated with this movement. Around 2018, moms and dads who were also suffering alone with this new social phenomenon started to find each other, in person and on the internet. Our stories were all strikingly the same. I first met my fearless friend, Erin Friday, in one of those parent groups. I was the one comforting her as I watched through my screen at her all too familiar look of bafflement mixed with anger and sorrow. She was just another mom on a zoom call whose daughter was rebelling against her natural self.
Erin was one of the lucky ones who was able to help her daughter heal her mind and accept her body. My fearless friend, who happens to be an attorney, has now become the public face representing those of us still threading the needle between being advocates and not losing the relationship with our gender-confused children. (It’s ironic that we, the normies, are now in the closet.)
Our network of global parents and advocates that includes teachers, scientists, therapists, doctors, scholars and lawyers continues to grow. We started to pay attention to what was going on with the laws in our country, especially in California. Right under our noses, the California legislature has been undermining parental rights and the safety of girls and women, and enabling the medical experimentation based on an esoteric idea. Countless laws have been passed under the guise of inclusivity, equity and diversity.
The silver lining in all my duress over my daughters’ (cause now I have two) gender confusion is that parents and advocates from across the political spectrum have united to create the Protect Kids California Initiative. This will protect parental rights in education, protect girls’ sports and single sex spaces and stop the gender harms for children under 18. This initiative, if successful, will change not only the course of California, but the course for all other blue states and possibly the world. California is the holy grail. The gender madness does not end until a Big Blue state returns to sanity. Everyone needs to focus on California.
Together we all have the capacity to enact a drastic change. Those brave and insightful individuals who are organizing this effort to get the initiative on the ballot for November 2024 need your help. The ballot initiative does not just require parent warriors, it requires a war chest of millions of dollars. They need those $100 donations from other states, as well as those five and six figure donations. If just the first 500 people reading this piece donated $200 that would total $100,000. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine costs about that. Protect Kids of California needs to gather 550,000 signatures of valid California voters to accomplish this great fete. Petitions are downloadable from its website.
California has an opportunity to stop the harm of gender ideology in the most liberal state in the union with this ballot initiative. Due to the super majority voting bloc in the California legislature, the Protectkidsca.com ballot initiative is the only opportunity in the foreseeable future that to return fairness to girls and women in sports, stop gender harms on minors and ban schools from deceiving parents about their child's “gender” struggles. Polling shows that the majority of Californians, if given the opportunity to vote, will choose to support this initiative.
Signature gathering is underway to place the measure on the 2024 ballot. The deadline for the 2024 ballot is April 19, 2024. To get it on the 2026 ballot, the deadline is May 28, 2024. Of course, our children cannot wait two more years.
If gender ideology ends in California, it will have a profound ripple effect on the rest of the country and potentially the world. The time is now to take our shot at the Goliath.
We need EVERYONE, inside and outside of California, who is against gender harms on children to participate.

ANY US CITIZEN CAN DONATE - remember California is the beginning and the end of gender.
4. Gather signatures. Any Californian 18 and over may collect signatures. All you need are petitions and pens. Attached is a handout that you can use, along with a pdf of the initiative.
