I am so grateful to you for writing this, it helps me better understand what my daughter is going through and gives me some hope that one day she may be able to see through this ideology. Thank you
I simply want to add that you are a talented writer. Being able to express such feelings in an honest and engaging way is not easy. And thank you for your story.
“I would not learn to tie my shoes until I was 14- the following year)”: sounds like autisms. And autists are at risk for masking with the “wrong” crowds. Glad you made it through.
Thank you for sharing your story, Maia! I love that you are turning your pain into something that will help others. I wish you and your family continued healing and love. I imagine that your parents are extremely proud of you.
Thank you for taking the time and energy to share your story. I hope you experienced more healing writing it. I pray that you will learn to counter those thoughts of regrets about the past with thoughts of thankfulness for where you are today. I'm thankful that you have come out of the fog. God bless you.
Thank you for being so brave to share your story with us. The internet has influenced so many young people and has caused endless harm to innocent minds. The trans ideology is so convincing, it is like a delicious poison that once tasted it becomes a craving. I have a friend who has been very concerned about her son over the last two years of high school because he became more secretive. He has a best friend who is trans, and he was acting differently. She asked him if he was gay or trans and he said no. Then two months ago this 19-year-old boy left home like a thief in the night, blocking her number. He has refused to talk to her until yesterday, as he wants to get his own place and needs money (he is working). She asked him if he was gay, and he said no. She asked him if he was trans, and he said no. He is still on her medical insurance, and she can see the three dates he saw his doctor. She asked him if he was sick, and he said he would not discuss his health. She asked him if he was taking hormones, and he said no. She asked him if he had cancer or HIV, and he said he could not discuss his medical situation. I told her not to give him any money until she can see him face to face. I know he is lying and hiding something, that is what these kids do who are caught up in this trans ideology. The parents become the enemy. My friend has told her son over and over that she loves him, and he can come home anytime. I have been sharing PITT stories with her, and she knows she is not alone. I gave her a copy of the new PITT book. Your story will help her to understand more about how her son has been thinking and feeling. Kids who think they are born in the wrong body experience so much confusion because of the ideology influence. I wish the very best in life for you, and I hope you can continue your healing journey.
The trans cult is a truly dangerous cult. Like all other cults in the world...usually religious, it has all the hallmarks. It's truly sad yourself, and others are so taken in by this but cults can be very successful for a long time. My husband left one when he was eighteen years old, and now he's sixty, and still has effects of from the programming. The trans cult is just far larger and more insidious...all disguised as human rights. My heart is sore for every young person who is taken in by this.
What made you reevaluate your transition, once you were off to college and free to do whatever, without your parents watching you?
Did you just outgrow the feeling? If so, how old were you?
