My other idea has always been taking the old-fashioned pride flag, or just any rainbow-striped cloth, and adding black and white squares in the corners. One black square says Woman: Adult Human Female. One says Man: Adult Human Male. One says "No-one is born in the wrong body." Fourth might say "Homosexuality is same SEX attraction."

I applaud creating a flag! We've long needed one. I do feel, however, that this one needs some tweaking. It cedes to the TRAs all the rainbows, colors, mermaids, unicorns etc. that they've taken over. Thus, their flag and their message is more appealing to children and others. Can we add in some color (perhaps suffragist colors of white/purple/gold or white/purple/green) around the edges or some other way of our truth flag? The PR experts who advise gender identitarians are truly brilliant, as kids are drawn to things like rainbows and now they associate those happy rainbow feelings with the horrifying madness of gender identity, its policies, its medical atrocities.

100% agree. When I took care to design my social media “branding” (I say that loosely because I’m not a brand) but my icon for my Substack Essay Account and YouTube Sex Realist clip account— I also felt strongly it needed to be in black and white as well, I used the man and woman symbol connected at the head WITHOUT the non-binary symbol sticking out.

It just occurred to me, there is one other well-known flag that's just geometric black and white: the checkered flag in racing.

The message of that flag? IT'S OVER. 🤔

I for one think "Gender Affirming Care" mutilation and chemical harm is ugly - as is the cult that feeds it - so I am good with a big "ugly" T for Truth to toss at it. All of the Pied Piper flags of harm are colorful/pretty. The cult and "gender medicine" are ugly.

I just use the suffragette flag. I have a bunch of stickers in my purse, and whenever I see a gender-stereotype ideology flag, I stick a suffragette flag over it.

They hate it! Because they hate women. Gender-stereotype ideology is male supremacy.

They even stole our slogan for their stupid lobby:

"Women's Rights Are Human Rights."--Hillary Clinton

I like it.

On the other hand, I had to go look up the suffragette flag. With bands of purple-white-green it's indistinguishable from the "Genderqueer pride flag". :(

If a symbol doesn't hit in an instant, it's wasted.

That's why I think it’s good to hijack other people's symbols.

But I don't want to discourage using suffragette stickers! Where'd you get yours?

I like the idea of a flag but this design ain’t it. Do you think it looks good? Part of why the trans movement has escalated to the degree it has is because there is a strong aesthetic appeal. Maybe consult with the fashion, art, pop psychology world for an improved design. Instead of T it might as well say HATE, ‘cause that’s how it reads.

Design suggestion: Maybe just the universal circle with the arrow for men and the plus sign for women both on the same circle? Maybe with a 'T' in the middle of it?

I think this is a great idea. Ideally though it would be a more appealing design. Maybe something with a circle? Curves could contrast with the trans lines theme. Maybe Nina Paley the artist from the Heterodorx podcast could design something?

Sorry, but I don't think it's a good idea to play the same game as they do. Flag wars are not the answer. Our weapon is truth, and it's the weapon they most fear.

I'm sympathetic to the discussion about design. I liked the impact when I first saw it, but I can understand the objection and will go with whatevah.

I for one sometimes enjoy symbols, flags, colors, logos. This is all totally normal and expected group behavior. "Flags" does not belong to them! We also has "Flags!" Let people have fun and feel like human beings! This is what human beings do. That's why it has worked so well on the children, they are tapping into some normal human "belonging" wiring and hijacking it, like all cults do.

But that wiring is a natural part of our survival instinct, so we actually DO need to throw up a flare and say "Hey we are over here, we also offer belonging! We will welcome you." We need MORE fun ways to feel belonging and signal a positive, attractive group identity because these lost people need something to move toward. We actually do need to develop a positive culture, to the degree that we can figure out how to do that.

Seeking truth, yes, always. So important, the #1 priority and North Star. Independent thought and willingness to examine and adjust and be humble and curious- yes to all that. But a lot of us really enjoy art and symbols and creative communication, so let the people have some fun.

I am not against anyone having fun, I agree on that, but what is at stake here is so much more than art or symbols. There are terrible things happening to our children and the only thing that can combat evil is love and truth. We need more to happen than just a flag, we need direct communication and this evil needs to be outed. That is my opinion, but thank you for your input.

I agree 100%!

I had a strange experience- I was under the spell of a some predatory people for a while, and when I got out I realized that confusion was a tool to keep me frozen. I vowed to make Truth my North Star, to get through the cloud of confusion.

I trace so much back to the moment I made that choice. It has changed my life. That experience of transformation/realization is exciting when it happens, but scary. Before the mental shift, it’s literally inconceivable- the mind hasn't been pushed to that place yet, so it almost seems to hurt.

I’m fascinated by our ability to observe humans, now that we have this incredible access to the global population through technology. We need to be able to establish the baseline, so we can understand the truth of human behavior. If we have predictable behavior patterns, let’s accept it and understand there’s some power there.

Personally I have always enjoyed symbolism and creative communication because I love making art. On the other hand, I probably put too much of my creative energy into culty left-wing groups.

It seems that the left has co-opted the arts unfortunately. I hope you can resist either side and just do your own thing. Keep what you create in the realm of beauty, and truth and you should be fine. Don't let anyone use you or hijack what you do. You are a child of the Most High, never forget that. He gave you the gifts, so always honor that.

But what would be a concise, viral instantiation of the truth we champion?

Expand full comment
Un-silent's avatar

Tell our children the truth, no matter what. When they look back, we need to be the ones that told them the truth at any cost. At a larger level they need to see actual pictures of sexual mutilation before they make those decisions. They need to know the side effects of puberty blockers and hormone treatments. We need to break the fantasy that they are being told.

When I look back on smoking for instance, the thing that most deterred me were the pictures of the destroyed lungs and the people with stomas. Real life consequences are what kids need to see before they are permanently damaged. Reality speaks louder than anything.

All true, but…

Who is the target audience for stickers & flags?

(Not the kids, they seem unmoved by images of harm. The cult messaging informs them that anyone unhappy with an outcome was never "true trans" to begin with.)

Here the target audience, I think, is ***the larger public who has never seen a counter-symbol.***

Both audiences are important, but I see that messaging as separate from trying to reach our captured kids.

I get what you are saying, and I agree that it would not be for the kids, but maybe the kids need to see more than a flag, something more like truth, love and forgiveness. I appreciate your thoughtful input.

Me again. I sympathise with a remark below to the effect that the proposed flag is not visually appealing. Dare I suggest adopting instead the Ying and Yang symbol, which (i) is visually attractive to many, I think, and (ii) is an established symbol, of course, of masculine and feminine.

Expand full comment
grand old flag's avatar

I like the yin-yang idea a lot. I hope you'll make up a design and post it.

But (1) it's true that yin-yang is "taken", heavily loaded with someone else's meaning, and (2) I like the idea of stealing the trans flag and twisting it to deliver a counter-message of clarity and simplicity where the stark T stands for "truth", not "Trans". It is similar to the Trans Flag because of the stripes but instead of baby blue, baby pink and white symbolizing cult beliefs regarding sex, I change it to stark binary black and white.

I'm not so sure that the flag ought to be yet one more visually attractive flag (like the many colorful ones about Identity) so much as a repudiation, an X-ing out of them.

But it’s great if we have several flags and symbols, with different but synergistic messages. Bring em on!

I get that. I don't want one more Identity flag.

Embracing Truth/Reality is not an identity - and I think we do need a symbolic representation of that.

Excellent. But on purely visual grounds I would recommend the removal of the top and bottom black bars, and the corresponding expansion of the the T. I suggest that would 'uncrowd' the field, and emphasise the T. ...

I love the idea of your flag. I think its really extremely important if just to show this movement is bigger than .01 percent. This flag needs to be out there in huge numbers so that it cant be ignored and will spark questions, dialouge. I will make one but I have a request. Could you please make a downloadable high resolution flag including a red heart on the black and white T flag? This battle is being driven by love and compassion. Our flag is up against rainbows and glitter, parades and festivals. In addition to having truth on our side, I think we also need the red heart of our love and compasion represented.

Thank you!

I like the red heart and I certainly agree with the message, but...

In a world where TRAs already casually call all those who disagree with them Nazis, I wanted to stay far away from a geometric design that incorporates black, white, and red.

Also I think two colors make a message: The truth is clear. The truth is simple. The truth is binary.

I want my fellow PITTs and GCs to adopt *some* form of counter-propaganda.
