The fight for LGB civil rights, for instance, after the success in Western countries achieving marriage equality, could have pivoted as a movement to help same-sex attracted people in countries where same sex behavior is still a crime. Instead, the LGB movement was Trojan horsed by the T, which piggybacked on the LGB movement with "forced teaming," creating an army of foot soldiers for these bad ideas.
I think keeping the infrastructure and momentum of a parents' activist org would be valuable, as there are always issues to address. But even oversight orgs need oversight!
