It's not "transgenders" per se that people are afraid of, but the Leftist cult that takes retribution on anyone who refuses to capitulate to their insanity and lies WRT transgenderism.
It's purposefully used to conflate "trans," which no one actually is, with homosexual sexual orientation so as to use the term phobia in the same way as they used homophobic back in the day, to help bolster their case and pit the righteous cause of the people on the left side of the cultural divide against the righteous cause of the opposing right side that in the case of transgender ideology demands we maybe take a hard look at what is being fought for here. Doesn't matter what side of the divide we are on but for those still hanging on to the idea that trans rights are the same as gay rights instead of acknowledging that trans rights increasingly are erasing gay rights along with *everyone* else's rights, like women's and children's, and that gender ideology is actually homophobic and misogynistic.
