I mean we are talking about people who are participating in what is basically the neutering of vulnerable children and young people for profit and politics. It is a medical experiment on such a large and egregious scale. And the victims are not hidden away as were, for example, the victims who suffered lobotomies. They are showing up at statehouses and putting their stories online.
The value I see in letters like this is for preventing any kind of deniability for those who will claim ignorance in the future. We just have to save the evidence.
I think the time when the activists could just walk away from this was probably 4 years ago. We're unfortunately going to have the lawsuits from the detransitioning people and the families of the post-SRS suicides. In the US, for profit medicine looks at these kids, ignores the freaking pro-transing WPATH guidelines, doesn't do a mental health work-up and goes straight to affirmation and drugs. What is happening in the US and Canada, is beyond what WPATH wants. It's absolute craziness, and sure seems to be fueled by $$$. The monster is out of the control of the creators.
