Right. And, it comes at the age when girls are differentiating from the mother. Before this she was soooooo close to me and even shared my mannerisms. People would remark on it. Then the bomb drops.
Yes, part of the problem is this is often happening at an age where it's appropriate for kids to start separating from their parents and becoming more of their own person -- so it's unfortunate that this becomes the way they've often found to do it.
