As a parent navigating the pain and confusion that can come when a child is struggling with gender-related issues, New Year’s may not feel like something worth celebrating.
This helped me so much today. The comfort I receive from the posts and comments on this feed is priceless. I am thankful that so many parents, family members, and friends of gender questioning individuals are such eloquent writers, putting such hard to describe feelings into such meaningful words. Thank you for giving me some sorely-needed perspective. Happy New Year!
When I was young we attended a small church that gathered New Year’s Eve to enjoy an evening of fellowship and prayer. When it got close to midnight, we would “pray-in” the new year. It was a sweet, hopeful experience dedicating the new year to God and seeking his blessing on it.
This year I’m praying for each family here and for each family touched by the trans cult. I pray that our children would hear, see, and know the Truth and be set free. I am praying that 2026 would be a year of testimonies of the return of our children to reality, to acceptance of who they are created to be, for healing, and for a return to their families. Peace be with you, God bless each of our families in 2026. 🙏🏻❤️
Most of the time, prayer seems to be the only useful action we can take. For me, it helps me maintain a positive outlook and not give off vibes of fear, horror, and disgust when interacting with my partly medicalised 22-year-old daughter . . .
Thank you, I also join you in prayer, and I will especially pray tonight for all the families to find some sort of peace in their heart..... hoping that 2026 will bring the truth to their beloved children
Thanks for the encouragement. I hope every parent whose life has been upended by this can find at least a moment of contentment and joy, despite the circumstances we so desperately wish had never come.
Happy New Yesr to all.
THANK YOU.....
Thank you for this post, thank you PITT.
Hope keeps us going. Is hope kind? (That remains to be seen.) But hope keeps us moving forward.
Take care of yourselves, parents. You deserve a life outside of this unfolding tragedy, one that many of us are unable to change.
This is so lovely, and so needed. Thank you for the reminders and the encouragement. Best wishes to everyone.
