It’s been a number of weeks since we published “Think My Child is Trans: You’d Better Prove It”, challenging trans activists and proponents of the now discredited “affirmation only” approach to show parents the evidence that our children, observed as male or female at birth are, in fact, the opposite sex.
In the meantime, parents all over the world have come together to shine a light on the indefensible lack of evidentiary support for the methods and efficacy of medical transition. We’ve raised the alarm about the horrific side effects and the damaged lives left in the wake of practitioners who, conveniently, never follow up on their patients. We’ve shown clear evidence that autism, social contagion, and pornography exposure have strong linkages to trans identification in teens and young people. We’ve drawn the public’s attention to the subversion of parent rights by our schools, who deem it appropriate to transition our children without our knowledge, and teach gender ideology nonsense to our elementary students, as if it is gospel. We’ve mailed and tweeted out countless letters, including copies of our original essay, or others written by PITT, to gender medicine providers and clinics around the world.
During this time, we’ve still seen not one iota of proof that transgender medicalization or social transition is appropriate, safe, or effective.
To the contrary, increasingly, we’re now seeing the disproving information start to leak out.
In the biggest development to date, several whistleblowers emerged from the gender ideology establishment—gender doctors Erica Anderson, Marci Bowers, and Laura Edwards-Leeper—cautioning that trans medicine is “sloppy” and that there is no data to support the threats made to parents that their children will kill themselves if not immediately “affirmed”.
The same whistleblowers commented on the difficulty they and others have had in speaking against the gender orthodoxy. As Bowers noted, “There are definitely people who are trying to keep out anyone who doesn’t absolutely buy the party line that everything should be affirming, and that there’s no room for dissent,” … “I think that’s a mistake.”
Despite all this, and to their shame, the New York Times and other mainstream publications still continue to print one-sided, rosy pictures of gender transition, touting it as a harmless utopian fix. And they continue to refuse to give a voice to the mounting pile of experts who have serious concerns while, at the same time, deleting comments that point out serious factual issues and misleading statements in their transgender-marketing guest essays. Many of these deleted comments were submitted by terrified and upset parents, respectfully attempting (futilely, it turns out) to inform the writers that their information and sources were incomplete, inaccurate, or simply false. We can speak to this censorship firsthand. But, that’s the media—they can act without evidence, until the public decides to hold them accountable.
There is a higher ethical burden on doctors and other medical professionals.
With all this information out there in the world about the harms and unknowns of gender medicine, it’s negligent for these professionals to continue to hide their heads in the sand. Especially now that the affirmative approach has been thoroughly discredited, by WPATH insiders themselves. It is now inadvisable and immoral for medical providers to provide drugs and surgery in the name of gender ideology. And pleas of ignorance will not cut it when the chickens come home to roost—because we’ve been informing you, and we’re keeping notes.
We parents used to be intimidated by you gender activists and practitioners. We used to take your word for it when you told us that you alone understood our children and how to help them. Well, we are not scared of you, not any more. And we now know that you have not, nor will you ever have, earned the right to be trusted with our precious children’s health and well-being.
You couldn’t prove it. You can’t prove it. And now we are educated, and we are angry.
Parents now know that you are quacks—not the responsible, caring physicians that the New York Times still pretends you are, when they report to the unwitting masses. We now know that you are motivated by greed, ideology, and fetishes, not altruism. Your cognitive dissonance over your involvement in this scandal may know no bounds, but that no longer matters. Anyone who continues this reckless, uncontrolled experiment on our children’s minds and bodies can expect a reckoning—but how long before this comes about is up to us as a society. When will enough be enough?
At least we’re finally on the right path. It’s amazing what happens when the practice of “no debate” is pushed aside, and people finally start asking probing questions and questioning gender ideology. I will never stop asking questions and I am not alone. It’s long past time.
Can you Prove It? And, if you can’t, why are you continuing to affirm and medicalize trans identifying individuals?
There is such a thing as transgender and you can define it? Prove it.
My kid has this condition (or state of being) of transgender? Prove it.
Self diagnosis is appropriate at all ages, for all conditions? Prove it.
My kid needs cross-sex hormones and castration or surgical sterilization to be happy? Prove it.
No alternative diagnosis for my child is possible? Prove it.
No alternative non-medical/body-modifying, endocrine disorder inducing treatments are available? Prove it.
Psychological treatment does not work for gender dysphoria? Prove it.
Drugs and surgery are a cure for whatever you describe the condition to be? Prove it.
My child will have sexual function and be capable of sexual fulfillment after medical transition? Prove it.
Puberty blockers are just a harmless “pause button”? Prove it.
Blockers and cross-sex hormones will cause no damage to my child’s brain or executive function? Prove it.
No one regrets medical transition, or if they do it’s because they weren’t *really* trans? Prove it.
My child understands what you are proposing to do and what the risks and repercussions are, and is capable of informed consent? Prove it.
Now, we can take this one off the list:
My kid needs new pronouns or he will kill himself? Prove it. Myth! Debunked.
No one regrets medical transition, or if they do it’s because they weren’t *really* trans? Correct. These kids are not *really* trans (except in their deluded little minds). Which is precisely why they will regret medical "transition" - i.e the butchering of their bodies.
we are living a medicalized - internet induced nightmare.
