I just wrote to Medscape, asking why they are not commissioning studies on the mental health issues in the rest of the family, when there is a "trans diagnosis". The pressure not to report is clear in the pressure applied to the 60 Minutes program, which was supposed to be a full program on detransitioners but CBS collapsed it to 20 minutes under pressure and Leslie Stahl had to publish a follow up interview with opposing views. Most transsexuals regret their choices at one point or another. I know--my ex husband blamed me for divorcing him, and said it was my "rejection" which caused him to go for the surgery.
