This is hopefully just a start. Everyone needs to be protected from gender ideology. Children, young adults and older adults. My ideal is it is very difficult to get medicine and surgeries. I know I don't think anyone should have it, but if there is "real" therapy and extra long waiting times for adults over 25. I don't want my health insurance to pay for this. Right now, my daughter, 22, is covered by my insurance and she is getting testosterone and soon to have double mastectomy. If I wanted DD breasts, I'm pretty sure insurance wouldn't cover it! It's cosmetic and harming, not healthcare, no matter what they say.
We took our daughter off of our insurance when she began taking testosterone. We did not affirm, so why should we pay for insurance coverage that allows insurance to cover 'T' and mastectomies?
I would also like to do this. I was told by the health benefits people at my job, that I have to prove she has other insurance otherwise they will not remove her. I have to check more to see if this is true. I'm in NJ. A very blue state. What state are you in?
I am in Virginia. This was a few years ago, so it might have changed with the ACA. I would call my insurance company directly to find out how to go about doing this. If you Google, you will find quite a bit of info on this, but it's much better to get specific info by calling your insurance company and asking how to remove your 'child' from your policy.
