A U.S. Senate panel rejected a judicial nominee in New York after there were strenuous objections to a decision she issued as a magistrate judge recommending that a transgender inmate convicted of child sex abuse be transferred to a women's prison.

I never thought I'd find myself fist pumping the air for Ted Cruz but here we are. What an awakening this has been.
