Saturday PITT Review - August 18 to August 22, 2025
Welcome to the PITT weekly roundup where you’ll find a list of the week’s postings along with links to some of our favorite books, videos, social media, and podcasts. Please continue the fight against the harms of gender ideology by sharing.
Access to all PITT content is free. Our objective is to inform the public of the devastating impact of gender ideology on families through our personal experiences. And it’s working - support for transitioning of children and distressed young adults is crumbling due to evidence-based findings.
Quote of the Week from Re-morse: “I read the daily PITT stories and I grieve and cry because of the harm that is being done against so many children/young adults. We all share the same pain, sorrow, fear, worry, and angst. And now we share remorse.”

Trump admin set to yank funds for Virginia schools over transgender policies Politico, August 19, 2025
Things are heating up in the Commonwealth of Virginia where the Department of Education is proceeding with efforts to suspend or terminate federal funding for five districts which have rejected the terms of an agreement to resolve probes into their transgender students policies.
Her'e’s what the candidates for governor of Virginia have to say. The length of their response should give you a clue as to their positions on this issue.
Earle-Sears: “Here’s the truth. There are two sexes, boys and girls, and for generations, we’ve understood this, that they deserve their own sports teams, their own locker rooms, their own bathrooms. That’s not discrimination. It is common sense,”
Spanberger: “As a mom of three daughters in Virginia public schools, a former federal law enforcement officer, and a candidate for Governor, Abigail’s priority is ensuring that all of Virginia’s kids are safe and supported. While Abigail’s opponent, Winsome Earle-Sears stokes division and backs the Trump Administration’s threats to strip funding from Virginia schools, as Virginia’s next Governor, Abigail will work to protect public school funding, address the Commonwealth’s chronic teacher shortage, and contend with our last-in-the-nation math recovery ranking. While Winsome Earle-Sears has a decades-long record of trying to defund Virginia’s public schools — and has offered no plan to increase student achievement, Abigail will continue to focus on preparing students for success and bringing Virginia parents to the table.”
