Welcome to the PITT weekly roundup where you’ll find a list of the week’s postings along with links to some of our favorite books, videos, social media, and podcasts. Please continue the fight against the harms of gender ideology by sharing.

Access to all PITT content is free. Our objective is to inform the public of the devastating impact of gender ideology on families through our personal experiences. And it’s working - support for transitioning of children and distressed young adults is crumbling due to evidence-based findings.

Quote of the Week from Flag Waving Mom: “I’m sorry for not being who you wanted me to be. I couldn’t be the mom who happily cheered on your transition and proudly waved the trans flag and marched in pride parades like some of your friends’ parents. I know that’s what you wanted at the time, but I had to also be true to you and to myself.”

IN THE NEWS

Federal judge strikes down Biden admin's Title IX rewrite

By Ryan Gaydos for Fox News, Published January 9, 2025

"When Title IX is viewed in its entirety, it is abundantly clear that discrimination on the basis of sex means discrimination on the basis of being a male or female," the court’s opinion read. "As this Court and others have explained, expanding the meaning of ‘on the basis of sex’ to include ‘gender identity’ turns Title IX on its head.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

The Sex Binary: What It Is and Why is Matters

Does sex exist on a spectrum? Nope.

Dr. Colin Wright, an evolutionary biology Ph.D., Manhattan Institute Fellow, Academic Advisor for the Society for Evidence Based Gender Medicine, began writing publicly about issues of sex and gender in 2018. His articles have been published in the Wall Street Journal, The Times, New York Post, Newsweek, City Journal, Quillette, and other major news outlets, as well as peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Here he explains the sex binary, which some people don’t believe in any longer but is a biological reality.

IMAGE THAT CAPTURES IT

While seeming to imply that the loss of “trans rights” will lead to the end of other rights, this cartoon rather points out, as JK Rowling noted, that 'trans rights' may crush gay rights, women rights, freedom of speech and freedom of belief. So, nicely done.
