Saturday PITT Review - July 14 to July 18, 2025
Welcome to the PITT weekly roundup where you’ll find a list of the week’s postings along with links to some of our favorite books, videos, social media, and podcasts. Please continue the fight against the harms of gender ideology by sharing.
Access to all PITT content is free. Our objective is to inform the public of the devastating impact of gender ideology on families through our personal experiences. And it’s working - support for transitioning of children and distressed young adults is crumbling due to evidence-based findings.
Quote of the Week from Am I concerned that Trump's policies will harm my "trans" daughter? Nope: “..am I more concerned for my trans-identified daughter now that Trump is in office, with his “anti-trans” agenda? Nope. I am more hopeful than ever that those in authority will no longer confirm her harmful delusional and that she might become more in touch with reality. And I think it’s possible to have an opinion about the Trump administration’s policies regarding transgender medicine without commenting on any of his other policies. That may be the most controversial opinion of all.”

IN THE NEWS
Democrats Lost Voters on Transgender Rights. Winning Them Back Won’t Be Easy.
The New York Times is again wringing its collective hands over what is to be done with us Neanderthals who refuse to embrace the Democratic party’s “vanguard positions” on gender. There’s nothing new here but the comments are very interesting. One example: “I'm way far left on a lot of issues, and pretty young, but the transgender stuff has been absurd for years.”
WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
FTC Workshop on The Dangers of “Gender-Affirming Care” for Minors
On July 9, the Federal Trade Commission held a workshop on unfair or deceptive trade practices in “gender-affirming care” for minors. Doctors, medical ethicists, whistleblowers, detransitioners, and parents of detransitioners shared perspectives grounded in research, expertise, and personal experience. It’s a seven hour video but we suggest you dip in to peruse the content. This is not the end of the gender medical scandal but we’re definitely on the road to its demise. As Churchill said, “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.”
