Welcome to the PITT weekly roundup where you find a list of the week’s postings along with links to some of our favorite books, videos, social media, and podcasts. Please continue the fight against the harms of gender ideology by sharing.
Access to all PITT content is free. Our objective is to inform the public of the devastating impact of gender ideology on families through our personal experiences. And it’s working - support for transitioning of children and distressed young adults is crumbling due to evidence-based findings.
Quote of the Week from I Found a Picture of You: “There is also a shattering sadness. I am so sad when I walk into her room, not because she is in college but because all I see is her pain that will remain buried until she comes out of this particular illness.”

IN THE NEWS
On Transgender Issues, Voters Want Common Sense by Pamela Paul for the New York Times, November 14, 2024 (archive)
“Why did Trump and his allies devote so much attention and resources to something that seemingly affects a small number of people compared with top voter concerns like immigration, the economy, crime, abortion and democracy? Maybe because it worked. It is not because most Americans are bigots or haters or anti-L.G.B.T.Q. people. But many voters, including liberals and Democrats, disagree with positions Harris and the Democratic Party have taken on transgender issues. Polls (archive) show that most voters, while largely supportive of existing legal rights and protections for transgender people, have complicated views on other policies that fall under the umbrella of what’s commonly referred to as trans rights.”
Said another way, most Americans are not comfortable with a policy that supports sterilizing gay and/or autistic kids.
WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
John Oliver explains how the Harris Campaign should have respond to ads on trans issues
At around minute 11 in this video, you can watch John Oliver self immolate on the trans issue. In less than two minutes, Oliver gets it all wrong including:
“vanishing few trans girls competing in high school” sports
“no evidence they pose any threat to safety or fairness”
“its weird for you to be so focus on this subject”
Girls are in more danger form a “creepy assistant volleyball coach” than a trans boy/man in their locker room
Readers of PITT know is this is all wrong and dangerously so. We include it here because the comments and pushback he is getting are nothing short of spectacular.
JK Rowlings sums it up best: “If you want to tell the world you're happy to watch females suffer injury, humiliation and the loss of sporting opportunities to bolster an elitist post-modern ideology held by a minute fraction of the world's population, fair enough; you're allowed your opinion. But if you've just told girls they don't deserve fair sport, maybe rethink using all too real and common sexual predation against young women as a punchline for your 'edgy' closing joke.”

John Oliver along with Steven Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Jon Stewart can only parrot woke nonsense which is why Bill Maher, Dave Chappelle and Ricky Gervais are funny and they are not.
One again, Rowling nails it.
