The best way, in my opinion, to persuading the transgender left that they are wrong is to remind them of the core liberal value of reliance on reason, logic, and science which completely contradicts the nonsense of transgenderism. Two hundred million years of mammalian evolution has resulted in sex/gender being binary and immutable — there is no getting around that fact except by ‘magical’ thinking. Furthermore, 150 years of the fight for women’s rights and dignity are undermined by the turning womanhood into cartoonish, antiquated stereotypes, hardly a traditional liberal value.
Thing is, the transgender left is not any more open to persuasion than the die hard MAGAs. They're both cults that demand adherence to the faith. People underestimate the online radicalization of a generation that started during the lockdown George Floyd protest summer of 2020 and is ongoing on social media. Some are defending Hamas terrorism, even murdering children, because Israelis are "colonizers"!? They've bought the big lie that men can be women, so now they're captured. Just like MAGAs swallow the lie that Trump is a patriot and good Christian. Cultists believe anything their leaders tell them.
Removing inappropriate material from schools is hardly fascism. The same material is available at libraries, so don’t give me the “autocracy” argument.
If the extreme right wing defends children from destructive ideologies, according to your definition, then to be a “right wing extremist” is a label we should wear with honor.
I don’t know what Trumpism is, but what you describe in the rest of your reply is exactly what the right is defending — values liberals used to uphold but no longer do now that Marxist progressivism has infected their ranks.
