Tell them that’s not good enough and then send them birth certificate. It’s a legal document and it needs to be correct. I avoided this by way of the college board account. My daughter of course had name wrong in there- I contacted them and supplied school ID photo with her real name and birth certificate as they changed it. We had a long discussion about how her 529 was in her real name and if she would like that money to pay for college she had better make her college in real name
There’s no more time for nice guy- this is the time to stand up and say the obvious!! Girls are not boys, boys are not girls, you can’t ever change that- and mutilating yourself or your child to try to do so is not only abuse- it’s insanity!!
According to the college as long as the last name matches it’s fine with them. Her transcripts are still in her legal name.
It’s not usable legally if she desists. If you are fine being woke- then go request a second one.
