The "Trans Exception"
“Faith can be very very dangerous, and deliberately to implant it into the vulnerable mind of an innocent child is a grievous wrong.” - Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion.
Hey teens - are you troubled by pesky feelings of discomfort and stubborn parents who just don't understand? Are you desperate for an immediate solution for your confusion and frustrated by gatekeeping meanies?
Well, we've got the solution for you: The Trans Exception!
—
The Trans-Exception: When you want to do something that’s contrary to common practice, ethics, evidence, or common sense, you just say “Trans” and then you get to say and do whatever you want.
Who can use it: Anyone!
When can you use it: Whenever you want!
This is how you use it:
To Override Ethics and Evidence Requirements in Medicine
You remind medical practitioners that you can’t question a patient’s “identity” without causing harm, that only you know how you feel, and that you will kill yourself if they don’t do what you want.
Then they will “affirm” you as the opposite sex and “transition” you by prescribing blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgery. If anyone questions the biological cause or actual ailment that requires medical treatment rather than psychotherapy, due to the Trans Exception, you can simply ignore the question about the facts and make a personal attack, because requests of proof and evidence are off-limits.
Now that you are “trans”, as soon as you are 18 (or if you have super cool parents maybe sooner), you can just pop over to Planned Parenthood and get some experimental cross-sex hormones on your first visit. They will make you sign some consent forms with a bunch of risks and unknowns (blah, blah, blah) but no one will ask too many questions because of the Trans Exception. They don’t need to worry because it’s all off-label so drug companies don’t have any legal liability and you know all that legal stuff doesn’t apply to you anyway because you are just making your body match your brain. Due to the Trans Exception, Planned Parenthood, Plume, or whoever you go to can feel free to ignore your medical history.
It’s easy to make a body you think you’ll like better too. “Top surgery”, “bottom surgery” …it’s all good. The Trans Exception means that you get better, more feel-good names for things like elective mastectomy and castration. What’s really great is that most likely insurance will pay, since coverage is available for whatever is “medically necessary”, and you already dealt with that through the Trans Exception. No one is accountable for the terrible surgical outcomes and the mental health risks, like increased risk of suicide amongst the transitioned customers.
Doctors and surgeons don’t have to worry about ethics and the fact that there’s no proof any of this “cures” the patient of their dysphoria… because of the Trans Exception. So, pre-order the castration party cake – anything goes!
To Ignore Science and Rely on Faith and Magical Thinking
Trans doesn’t have to follow these narrow minded “biological reality” rules that usually apply in science. It’s way more engaging to kids to teach using a purple unicorn. We wouldn’t want to leave anyone out, so telling kids they can’t be the other sex because of biology might be harmful or even invalidating for them to hear! Maybe there’s 6 or more genders! Maybe there are more? The sky’s the limit. You can be who you want and what you want and kids need to learn that early so they can educate their parents and doctors later.
Due to the Trans Exception, you don’t have to argue about biological fact and gametes. If anyone in the school pushes back on the GSA or “diversity and inclusion” initiatives, just call them transphobic. You can just talk about your feelings and how your humanity is being questioned if anyone asks for proof of all these genders and what the implications might be for science, medicine, legislation, and education of stating this stuff as fact.
To Disregard Sound Logic
Who needs logic when you have emotions and feelings?
With the Trans Exception, you can say things like “you were born in the wrong body” and also “you can become transgender at any time” and you don’t have to explain anything about any perceived contradiction. There is no contradiction. Trans is everything and anything that anyone wants it to be.
To Avoid Serious Journalism
The Trans Exception works for media too! You don’t have to do any of that fair and balanced stuff. You just write and read only positive things about Trans and you can feel good about that knowing that anyone who doesn’t is just a right-wing bigot. When right-wing radicals, LGB people and feminists try to talk about why suddenly half of American 4th grade classes are coming out as non-binary or trans and begging for puberty blockers, that’s just because they don’t want to “let kids play” and they don’t believe in inclusion. It’s a real shame. When they try to get the word out about how Sweden no longer “transitions” kids because it’s too dangerous, experimental, and ineffective, you just ignore it and eventually it will go away. You know those Swedes are super-conservative and transphobic anyway.
To Bypass Parental Rights
Trans is about someone’s core being—even kids! —so parents have no right to interfere or ask questions. The child and educators or diversity coaches know best—they get the Trans Exception.
Kids—if your parents don’t immediately agree you are the opposite sex, or non-binary, you know it’s because they are transphobic and hate you. That means it’s no longer safe in your home. Listen instead to the helpful spokesmodels from Plume that will teach you how to inject hormones, and how much happier they were, and how perfect their life was once they started taking drugs and transitioned! Doesn’t that sound fun? You remember that purple unicorn, right? And no, this is not grooming, because…Trans Exception.
Now, once you tell your parents that you want to transition, if they don’t “affirm” you, just go to the school and they will help you out. They will love and support you like your family is refusing to do. So, will your friends online.
There’s No Justification for the Trans Exception
No theory justifies an exception, much less a pass of the magnitude we have given trans across the board in healthcare, academia, education, science, journalism, and politics.
There are good doctors, therapists, and other healthcare practitioners trying to step in and provide evidence-based care, and good journalists and academics trying to follow tried and true practices to get to the truth, but they are being overwhelmed by the onslaught of activists and celebrity spokespeople, especially in the US —we are institutionalizing gender ideology, which, through the Trans Exception, demands blind faith.
