Well said!

There is an argument to be made that, once an adult, you can choose whatever body modifications you want. It is usually paired with attitudes like "why do you care what other people do to their bodies? How does it affect you?"

The reality is, trans ideology affects our entire society and culture, directly and indirectly.

I would add one more group trans ideology is not kind to. People with genuine gender dysphoria, for whom transition is the only treatment for their mental disorder that actually works. All they want to do is live as quiet and normal life as possible. The actions of trans activists and ideologues is putting a target on them, and they are often attacked more by the fake trans people than anyone else.

A great bit of news came this week. 12 August from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons,

“ASPS has not endorsed any organization's practice recommendations for the treatment of adolescents with gender dysphoria. ASPS currently understands that there is considerable uncertainty as to the long-term efficacy for the use of chest and genital surgical interventions for the treatment of adolescents with gender dysphoria, and the existing evidence base is viewed as low quality/low certainty. This patient population requires specific considerations.

This is a brilliant post, thank you!

I am seeing this exact issue with my autistic, mentally ill young adult son. The gender drugs he is on are making his mental and physical health much worse, and are having no benefits that we can see. He is consuming large amounts of expensive medical and psychiatric resources that could go to others who need them.

His providers are at the point of trying to "persuade" him to stop the drugs, but as long as he says prefers to be on them, they keep prescribing them.!

THIS. IS. MADNESS.

As the years roll by, he is likely to develop more chronic medical conditions, and need even more resources.

Even if he detransitions, his endocrine system may be totally stuffed up and he will probably need long term endocrine care.

He is probably sterile, so will possibly be seeking assisted reproductive services later if he meets a partner.

The insanity just rolls on. Society has completely lost the plot.

"Just say no" seems to be the mantra that the world needs to use for everything these days. Who died and put these monsters in control of our children?

Sometimes I question the doctors who are doing the surgeries. The breast removal looks like it was done by an amateur in most cases. It looks like big slashes with no attempt to look even remotely like a male chest or a breast reconstruction.

The phalloplasty looks like someone has played a cruel joke on the poor unsuspecting, trusting young patient. They not only don’t explain all the horrible infections and how unlike a real penis it will look, and of course it doesn’t work in any way, either for fun or for reproduction. One photo showed what looked like a doorknob made out of flesh.

Not just “unkind’, but almost as if the surgeon was hostile to the young lady and getting some kind of gleeful kick from the whole thing. The patient is *mentally ill* and should be treated by a psychiatrist. So should the surgeon. They are all “out of touch with reality.”

Mother’s worry of teen’s FtM almost 4 yr belief.

Internal pain. Silently broken inside… possibly persecuted at least a constant socially judged for speaking — Illusions of Belief; doesn’t make it truth of reality.

Emotionally despondent father of RODyphoric teen; he’s ignored elephant in the rm from the beginning; over seas travels back and forth at his leisure. Mom faces Anti-Dysphoria belief….

“All heart-mind-sufferers” — Your living souls, understand the pain of constant disbelief wanting only to protect our minors from harm. When will be the change to protect in body & their mind – to be, re-comfortable within one’s own skin of dysphoric belief. To dissolve Dysphoria….

There is no kindness involved when selfishly increasing the misery of one who already suffers.

The sorrow of parents (however deserving of compassion) is, in one real sense, immaterial to the unkindness the inchoately dysmorphic suffer at the hands of those others who deliberately, needlessly and wantonly elevate that condition to the self-hatred referred to as "gender dysphoria."

I couldn't help recalling this line from Shakespeare:

This was the most unkindest cut of all.

(Antony, Act 3 Scene 2)

Thanks for bringing the meaning of this to life in the 21st century. God Bless

I follow (and talk about) the trans cult, and it’s really, really hard to get the attention of those who think their lives will never be affected by it. What they don’t realize is the children who lose their future to the cult are just as important as the children whose lives are destroyed by accidents or disease. It is grievously shameful, that the permant poor effects and outcomes of medical and surgical gender affirming care are 100% iatrogenic.

Incidentally, I suffered with chronic interstitial cystitis for eight years before a small-town urologist performed a custoscopy and identified the issue. For eight years I was treated as a chronic complainer. I had one, read that, ONE day in 8 years on which I had no low-grade fever.

The negative, harmful ripple effect of gender ideology is massive. How many causualties have to occur before it stops?
