The title of PITT’s December 30, 2022 essay was Bring on 2023: The Year the Tide will Turn. The tide didn’t turn in 2023 or 2024 but it is now, and in a big way. Trans-ideology became a hot topic during the election. Some say it swung the election to Trump. Remember the “Kamala’s for they/them. President Trump is for you” ads anyone? So the tide has been turning, but hasn’t quite turned yet. Perhaps 2026 will be the year.
My personal situation is worse now than a year ago, so this overview is helpful to balance that. I'll continue to hope for the tide to change for the better for all even if that doesn't reach me personally. Not all kids will exit and not all families will reunite, but many kids and families are moving in a better direction. I'll keep writing with that hope in mind. Thank you for this forum. I appreciate you all.
It said a lot but the new narrative is that some people got out of hand, not that the MDs pushing this have abandoned medical ethics and that when you look closely at this field there is no justification for giving young people these interventions.
Still calling it a right to give kids dangerous treatments that aren't shown to be likely to help. Maybe they called having a whites only water fountain a right back on the day, too.
How about the Dutch medical paper saying that the real goal is bodily autonomy and letting kids make these mistakes, quoting Andrea long Chu? The wolf's mask is slipping.
I'd like to think the tide is turning. Son Matt, who's been in the forefront of the battle against this madness for many years, thinks it's already turned. I'm not so sure.
My concern is that when the Democrats return to power -- I said "when," not "if" -- they will quickly undo the good things that Trump's administration has done during the first year of his presidency.
Meanwhile, my sense is that the Forces of Evil have not disappeared or surrendered; they've gone to ground and are biding their time. They're secure in the knowledge that they'll never be held to account for their destruction of young lives and families.
That said, neither should we discount or downplay all the very significant developments outlined in the above post. Hope springs eternal after all.
Yet we would also do well not to forget Paul's famous warning from Scripture (Ephesians 6:12): "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers and powers of darkness..."
You have to know the nature of the enemy...and the nature of the battle...in order to have any chance of winning it.
May the tide soon wash this insanity away. It never ceases to amaze me how entrenched some people are in the idea that this is "kind." I have tried in vain to explain it to them. They can't handle the explanations. I'm "bad" for knowing the horrors of these medical interventions. This issue has truly tested my faith in humanity. Even if "trans" were something to support in adults (I have come to the conclusion that it isn't) this tyranny of "celebrating" it is just plain crazy. And the worst ones are those who insist that it isn't happening -- and I know plenty of those. People trapped in my company as I roll out the carved arms, the vaginal "wound" the sepsis, colostomy bags and all else. And even after all that -- evidence -- they blink at me as if I were making it up.
While I am in complete agreement that the "trans" ideology is sick, evil & damaging to all society, I disagree that the support for it has ever been as strong as our entertainment industry would have us believe. I doubt there are as many "gays" as are portrayed by our celebrities & the media. There is no trend in that direction. But I do feel sorry for all the families that have been affected by this empty, soul crushing, hypocrisy. I am hopeful that this entire lunacy will soon evaporate. My best wishes to all the families suffering from its effects.

For those on the left still woefully uninformed, there was the nyt article which tried to pin all the craziness on strangio...https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/19/magazine/scotus-transgender-care-tennessee-skrmetti.html

Thank you for all you have done to turn the tide and to help those caught in it!

Here the nyt plays a role. Half the country still has no clue.
