Trans-ideology became a hot topic during the election. Some say it swung the election to Trump. Remember the “Kamala’s for they/them. President Trump is for you” ads anyone? So the tide has been turning, but hasn’t quite turned yet. Perhaps 2026 will be the year.
The August article, "The Gender War Is Over in Britain" seems to have aged badly... We now know that the war is still far from over in Britain due to the puberty blockers trial and many places still ignoring the Supreme Court ruling...
The change is coming at a glacial pace. Trump's orders are not thought through, and contribute to polarization. And it's one step forward and two steps back. Voices of reason are being shut by transactivists and politicians. It will take another 10 years at least to really see a wave of detrasitioners that cannot be ignored. Too late for many of our kids.

Yes, it does seem to be heading in the right direction thanks to the Trump administration! I am hopeful this ideology will soon come to an end. I would like to know who was funding this madness surrounding the Biden administration. The Biden admin was filled with true evil. I honestly cannot make sense of how something like this could be basically promoted from our government. Unfortunately, my 22 year old is still obsessed with this and I don’t have much recourse in stopping him from moving forward with his obsession since he is an adult. We will be cutting back on financial support ad much as we can if he moves forward. However, we will make sure he does not end up on the streets. He’s high functioning on the spectrum and I’ve learned this is a big confusion within the spectrum community. I pray to God daily for his healing. 🙏
In regard to the big confusion in the spectrum community I just want to add that the organizations in place to help those on the autism spectrum are actually actively adding to the damage being done. So called advocacy for autism groups are either promoting the trans agenda out of a desire for money or social recognition or both. They are complicit in the destruction of a very naive and vulnerable group of young people.
Two developments are worth adding. First, the AG of Florida suing WPATH, the AAP and Endocrine society for fraud. Unlike detransitioner lawsuits, there is not an issue of scarce resources in this one. Even then, a lawyer from Campbell Miller Payne said at the Genspect conference this year that he expects positive developments on those suits in Q1 of this year.
And then there is the IOC, which if the leaked stories are right, will issue rules against men in women's sports, and expectations are that several other international governing bodies, like FIFA, will follow suit.
My personal situation is worse now than a year ago, so this overview is helpful to balance that. I'll continue to hope for the tide to change for the better for all even if that doesn't reach me personally. Not all kids will exit and not all families will reunite, but many kids and families are moving in a better direction. I'll keep writing with that hope in mind. Thank you for this forum. But, it's upsetting to me that he's pretty much declared victory on the matter. Most people really do not understand. I doubt there are as many "gays" as are portrayed by our celebrities & the media. There is no trend in that direction. But I do feel sorry for all the families that have been affected by this empty, soul crushing, hypocrisy. I am hopeful that this entire lunacy will soon evaporate.
