"Why do you care about this? It's such a small number of people."

It's EVERY SINGLE GIRL & WOMAN ON EARTH.

That's whose rights are being abolished. And women and girls make up more than half the human race.

So, no, it's not "a small number of people" affected. It's more than half the human race.

THAT is why I care.

churchmusiclady's avatar

That's a very good point. I think that often people say, "Trans people only make up a fraction of a percentage of our population, why do you care?" but I agree, this is an issue that affects the ENTIRE population, and more than half of it disproportionately.

You need to Google and check out Josh Seiter on Instagram. His content is funny but is exactly what you just wrote and then some. He points out the absurdity of the trans movement. I guess his niece is trans and he couldn’t be quiet any more: He has a huge following.

LOVE Josh Seiter. He is giving the leftist nonsense a taste of their own medicine. Brilliant guy. I hope he runs for office.

I have to say that the first part of the article really made me laugh! Thanks for some comedic relief. The sad and absurd part is that we now live in a world where many people may not blink at accepting the assertion of "trans-disabled" if you were to tell them that you were. Its just madness. Literally.

Great piece! Would make for some interesting dinner party debates with teens or adult allies.

I have witnessed some college students opting-in to a disabled identity--hobbling around on canes, needing special accommodations for test-taking, etc.

Another debate topic could be identity with a capital 'I' (apparently sacrosanct) versus lifestyle choice.

Lifestyle choice seems to trigger people.

churchmusiclady's avatar

I think they resent the idea that this could possibly be a "choice." It IS clearly a choice, but to give that up would mean they would have to abandon their victim status and all the social credit that goes along with it.

Melissa R.'s avatar

Identity becomes sacrosanct when it rides on the notion of "born that way", as QT piggybacks on LGB identities.

Great article. It makes me wonder, if a parent were to turn this around on these kids, what would be their reaction. If the parent just started saying that they were a giraffe and demanded that they be treated as such, what would the reaction of the child be? Would it wake them up? Or would they play along? Interesting.

Hippiesq's avatar

Your play strikes the right note. The outraged teen spouting nonsense as if it were basic math, confident in this unhinged reality, and the innocent parent questioning the nonsense is characterized as a stupid bigot.

paleblue's avatar

I love your scene from “Planet Unhinged”. I think you should finish the play.

Such an excellent article! Every word so true. Thank you!! This is definitely a "saver"!

When my child first identified as trans, I used the analogy of anorexia. No one was ever able to show me the flaw in that analogy. We do not affirm a person who weighs 86 lbs but identifies as 362 lbs or whatever. It's all ridiculous and hopefully, the left will begin to see the serious damage in moving forward as they have.

paleblue's avatar

I don't believe the same Left that birthed the transgender project will ever view it as harmful. In my opinion (for what it's worth), the very intent is to transgress, undermine, disrupt, and destroy. For example, they even use the term "disruptive" as a positive, not a negative. The author notes, and I agree completely, that reality itself is the target. Which is extremely interesting, when you think about it. Certainly the nuclear family and the relationships that comprise it have been intentionally targeted. But reality itself? It really does appear to be diabolical.

Eleganta's avatar

The Left did not birth the transgenderism lobby.

A tiny handful of impossibly rich men did, two of them extremely actively on the Right: Robert Quartermain in Canada and James Pritzker in the US.

James Pritzker is a lifelong Republican who donated to every Republican Presidential candidate of the past 30 years. In 2016, he gave a quarter million dollars to Trump. That's why Trump didn't speak out against James's lobby then. But James got mad that Trump didn't push his lobby, so he quit donating to him, and now Trump is mad at him, so he took revenge on him.

That's just two rich Republican men bickering and using the lives of countless Americans as their cannon fodder.

The Left birthed women's rights. And the Left birthed the TERFs who have been fighting tooth-&-nail to destroy James Pritzker's transgenderism lobby for far longer than the RNC has even been aware of it.

The TERFs are going to win this for all of us.

We shall overcome.

PS Please do not try to tell me that James Pritzker is a Democrat. Just look him up.

Vanessa's avatar

I know who James Pritzer is and I really don't care. Both sides of the political "spectrum" are two sides of the same coin , and I really don't care. Idk what a TERF is, but unless it is based in truth and reality, it is useless. My child is now a slave to the pharmaceutical industry.

churchmusiclady's avatar

A TERF is a trans-exclusionary radical feminist. I'm not a feminist, but I will gladly accept the "trans-exclusuinary" part. Basically a TERF is someone who dares to proclaim that a person cannot change sex.

churchmusiclady's avatar

I believe this is the end goal of queer theory: to disrupt reality. James Lindsey and Helen Pluckrose wrote an exceptional book called "Cynical Theories" about just this, and what the drive behind queer theory is. It is not just to question accepted ideas, but to upend and destroy them. The people going along with it are the "useful idiots" that those (look up Yuri Bezmenov) who have escaped communist regimes refer to. When the prevailing culture topples, the authoritarians move in, clean house, and take over, eliminating the leftists. https://www.amazon.com/Cynical-Theories-Scholarship-Everything-Identity_and/dp/1634312023/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2W60WRDLN8QTH&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Qa3G4JemVRMTxNXtl1hKCpCeU99cz2EdjK8ji2lEQOo.JDaWH-uN8GZmZbxPbxaQJFPdI47RcZmmjvhRV9cZbXA&dib_tag=se&keywords=helen+pluckrose+and+james+lindsey&qid=1783184691&sprefix=helen+pluckrose+and+james+lindsey%2Caps%2C247&sr=8-1

10/10 no notes. Thanks you for making the obvious point about the environmental sustainability aspect of this consumerist cosmetic ridiculousness. I think about this massive ideological hypocrisy all the time.

Good luck with navigating this madness & getting out of it with your family intact.

churchmusiclady's avatar

The mental gymnastics required to be a leftist must be really exhausting. No wonder they're always pissed off. They live in a constant state of cognitive dissonance and, as you say so accurately, ideological hypocrisy.

Eleganta's avatar

It does not take any mental gymnastics at all to be a TERF.

You should try it.

churchmusiclady's avatar

I think most people who read PITT might consider themselves TERFs to one degree or another. All it takes is to claim that "men can't become women" or "you cannot alter your sex." Basically, it's a "slur" that TRAs use to malign people who adhere to objective truth. I will gladly accept their slur.

Young people fight like cats to click the most boxes of 'marginalized intersectionalities.' There is the infamous Chella Man who I suspect has made some cash and certainly gained a following for being Asian, deaf, and trans. The poor girl. It is tragic as she is egged on in the corporate, political, and cultural swamp indoctrinating others. The day may yet come when these influencers get thrown under the bus but for the real culprits in industry and tech and the political class taking the cash few will likely see justice.

Limb removal is not as lucrative in the industrial arena as is reproductive mutilation. The markets explain what is happening.

churchmusiclady's avatar

Very good point. There are many more follow-up procedures and medications (read: CASH) that can be administered following the mutilation of a person's reproductive system than with just taking off an arm or a leg.

Mothers Grim's avatar

Yes, I have written about this business evolution across many posts. You don’t install transgender leaders to oversee transgender healthcare inside of integrated health insurance/ medical care industries unless there is a plan. And there are plans!

churchmusiclady's avatar

I assume you are very familiar with the work of Jennifer Bilek and her investigation of the transhumanist agenda. She sounds crazy.... but I totally believe her. "Follow the money."

Eleganta's avatar

As you should know, Jennifer is a leftist.

churchmusiclady's avatar

I assumed she was far left in many areas. However, the trans issue seems to make strange bedfellows, as radical feminists and far-right conservatives seem to agree on this issue, that people cannot change sex and that allowing men into women's hard-earned spaces is dangerous for all women.

I watch LOTS of detective and law and order shows. I remember an episode that strongly resembled your “Planet Unhinged”.

churchmusiclady's avatar

It's like we're living "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." All of a sudden the people who you thought you knew have adopted a totally different version of reality.

Brilliant! Thank you for sharing this incredibly spot on piece.

This is really well written! The liberal left has accepted mental illness as a life style that is normal! Of course we know it’s not! I pray it will turn around soon 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
