What a moving song and tribute to parents trying to weather this insanity. Thank you for this!

Nothing like crying here in my office to start the day right! :) Thank you so much for that beautiful song, and, even more so, for putting into words the pain and the enduring hope we parents of trans-identified kids are experiencing. It means a lot. ❤️

Thank you so much for saying "trans-identified". We need to inject reality based, rather than fantasy/cult based language into our society. LGB is one thing and real. LGBTQ+ is literal madness. I like adding a "D" for detransitioner to the long one. Even better might be one I just heard: LGBTQ-WTF. Then we have Real: LGB and Cult: LGBTQWTF.

Thank you for your beautiful song, Elizabeth, and your understanding words. They are balm to the sadness surrounding our issues. The suffering continues, but as the truth comes out more and more, it cannot be denied. The pushing continues, as it will until enough people cry, "Enough!" Those of us in the trenches gain strength from each other and we bless those who care. I thank God that more are awakening to what has happened and to what is happening in this fantasy world built by greed and power. The tide is turning.

You, parents, are the leaders of this world. Your ability to unite and support each other is vital. Your taking the time to share your stories with us, so we are aware, so that many of us will then be able to watch over our grandkids or future grandkids....and advise now our nieces, nephews, adult children....as all of them are just bombarded with this mess - and they are busy in their lives.... it is good that they can hear voices of warning - our voices that you, parents in PTT, are training. Please keep your strength, your faith, your fearlessness, and when it is too much and you falter, when your knees give away, know that this place here, this PITT existence, is doing vital work. Your courage and strength lead the world.

Was very moved by Elizabeth's song ... and just as much by the words she wrote above the lyrics on her site. She speaks to, and for, many of us.

Thank you for your kind words Pikay. Your comments and those of the other parents are so moving to me. Even though I am not a parent myself, I am deeply honored to be able to be part of this village of parent warriors fighting for their kids. You are the heroes! Your love and bravery will eventually break the spell of this madness. Wishing the best for you and your family.

Thank you, Elizabeth

I woke up to 2 gifts today, this one and:

"The Testosterone Hangover

The Biden administration says transgender kids are entitled to ‘gender-affirming’ medical care. These girls disagree. ‘I have this intense rage in me over the harm that was done to me.’ "

Beautiful. So much gratitude. I was so happy that she changed the 'if' to " 'when' you come back to me." I believe if we keep the faith that they'll come back, virtually all of them will--and we'll wrap them in the warmth of mother's love.

Did it start with "if" because Mama was scared? And changed to "when" as her faith strengthened; faith in herself, her kid, and that their connection would bring her child home? This is what happened for me, and now I don't doubt my child will eventually let this all go. I also won't allow this ideology to claim my family or my sanity. We got this.

StoicMom, that is exactly how I was thinking! So funny you pulled that out...when I played the song live to my 93 year old mama, she said that she wanted it to be "when" and not "if" and was glad it changed in the last line. She has had her own icy storm of a different nature with one of my siblings who is mentally ill, so she can relate to all of you parents in some ways. I considered changing it all the way through to "when," but then I realized that the "if" is the fear and is also part of being in the icy storm. The "if" is the doubt, and doubt is part of the process of faith. Thank you for your writing, your strength, and your bravery! I wish you and your family the best.

<3 My mom, also, has modeled the fortitude of one who's been through icy storms with her children. I couldn't be more grateful for her example of grace and faith in the darkest of times. Thank you again for this beautiful song that captures the difficult experience our children are giving us to figure out what it means and embody what it looks like to be a strong woman--in world gone mad.
