People need to awake and see what is going on in this society that is a result of materialism and consumerism, and secular. Not only in the states also in Europe we are seeing this. Only strong countries where Faith is strong like the muslim countries can keep all this madness at bay, we used to be like that. Probably that is the reason why we are fighting them. And we as society reject everything that is Godly, for instance Hungary is criticized as an "alt right" nation because its PM had said that all these progressive agendas will not enter the country and Hungary will dedicated to the Lord, I think Poland also consecrated itself to Mother Mary or the Lord. It is nothing wrong with that, all what comes from the Creator is good in nature but people who professed to be atheists or consider religion a superstition of the old ages, also are indignant and accuse everybody of being "alt right or fanatic". Why do they care? They care because this is not just what it seems to be. They care because they hate the God they assure you they don't believe, there is not love in their hearts. But also because it is an evil agenda sustained by evil politicians who are pushing and indoctrinating people into believe that God doesn't exist or have any power or any inherence in the world today, when it is exactly the opposite. The world alike the whole universe belongs to the Creator and we also belong to Him, the faster we accept that the faster He will heal us. No person who believes and loves God has any confusion about their identity because they know who they are, creatures of God and they know their purpose in this life, to know God and do His will because He always has the best plan for us, our happiness and our joy. Creation is a love's story and we are part of it. We don't exist and nothing exists outside God, of course He gives us free will but free doesn't mean that we can do whatever. Freedom means big power so it entitles a big responsibility and teaching this would be one of the ways to counter the lazy and spoiled society of today in which we find humans who feel entitled in thinking that they have the right to change biology, nature, and that God got it wrong when He formed them in their mothers' wombs, somehow. The audacity only can come from a lack of spiritual transcendence.

Thank you for this beautiful post. It's not necessary to be religious to reject the entire trans movement as objectively false and very dangerous. My own religious beliefs are something I keep private (or would outside of this space). I worry when I see mentions of religion as something others can easily reject, calling them religious nonsense. Like the author, I had so little knowledge of this issue, and can't recall when I really learned about it. I do recall a tech conference in 2019, where I was one of perhaps three women in a heavily dominated male industry. I recall using the restroom and thinking "thank God there's not a man in here" so I must of had some awareness, but really didn't understand the true enormity and scope of this pernicious social contagion until much, much later. I wouldn't have had any idea how to proceed, despite having been very proactive, like the writer, in educating my children to ward off very real and actionable concerns. I hope the writer and other parents won't blame themselves for not anticipating such a horrifying thing could ever come to pass, how could we have known? While this hasn't touched me personally, I did lose an important friend of over 20 years to the madness (a very strong, sensible mid-Western woman). Occasionally, too much time spent advocating gets me very anxious, I've told myself to just leave it alone...but we can't leave it alone. As long as there are active and repeated attempts to change centuries-held beliefs about the immutability of sex, none of us are safe. We have to find strength to continue to help children, and adults who were children.
I agree. Thank you. If people see themselves as Jesus does, and truly understand their infinite value, I think most of this deceit about gender ideology would be flushed to where the goblins go. The rest would go due to the truth that God created humans as male and female. People will still have their insecurities, but a lot of this deception is from following human teachings instead of the Truth.
It comforts me to see so many parents with faith. The one blessing with this tsunami is that it really shows how we have allowed the enemy to erode our social values. I thought being tolerant was kind, but allowing the enemy to plant lies is dangerous. Now these lies about how we can create ourselves have grown into hideous weeds. I couldn't have imagined the faceless crowd on the internet. Transgender wasn't on my radar. Someone like Bruce/Caitlyn was a cultural aberration. I was aware of male transexuals, and drag shows at nightclubs.
I couldn't have imagined this "trans thing" would impact girls, or a large swath of young people of both sexes.

I was an atheist before. Sometimes I wonder if it was because my heart was so hard that God used my daughter to soften me and make me turn to Him? 😭
God may not have caused it to happen but he can take pain and hurt and use it for his purpose which is bringing you to him.
