Another tragedy because of this evil cult. I am sad for you loss, your broken heart, your painful memories and the guilt you carry. You are not alone and you did not cause this outcome. I support your fight and I applaud your determination to right this wrong. We must hold all the people who do harm to our children accountable. No one has the right to interfere with our parenting when we know what is best for our children and we know that testosterone, hormones or surgery is not the answer. Keep the fight alive and do not give up! We are all in this together, unfortunately, but justice must prevail.
Someone just argued (on FB) in response to a post on children’s literature that pushes this ideology that she wouldn’t cause “harm” to friends who think their kid has had gender dysphoria SINCE IT WAS A BABY by suggesting a therapist who would encourage facing reality.
That friend should read this story! (I did direct her here but she responds to everything without reading and merely repeats the programming.)
This is so tragic, and I am so sorry. It seems that wherever this daughter turned there was a predator.
Another predator, I would suggest, is giving away to other toxic ideas such as generational trauma and when the prefrontal cortex is fully developed.
Look: we’re delaying maturity to the detrimental of not just our youth but the future of the species.

Ideas that having fun is a right, rather than getting down to work producing and rearing the next generation.
Teens built some of the most amazing architecture in the world back in the Middle Ages. The brain develops through caring for others out of necessity— not navel gazing.

I do believe that the internet platforms you noted are a large part of the problem and are pushing an ideology that creates mental chaos and confusion for young people. I think it also is addictive in nature and can become all consuming of a young person's thoughts and feelings; and can slowly alter their perspective on reality. This is the most devastating story I have read on this Substack. And it’s my own native country that allowed this harm to be perpetuated. I am so devastated for you and sickened by the policies in place that harm innocent children like your daughter. It’s so disgusting I could actually vomit.
