This is so good. I agree with all of this (except mine is male pretending to be female) and he’s an adult. That last paragraph is so well said.

Much more poetic and influential than my "Grrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaurgh!"

40% of her class??? That's insane. What percent of the 6th grade girls got captured by the cult?

My heart goes out to you.

I especially love your line, “I’d really rather have a live daughter

who wasn’t taught to detest her body.” So, so true! Thank you for sharing so powerfully our shared anguish. Praying our daughters and sons will come to their senses soon!! For anyone interested in praying with others, we meet on Thursdays online and spend an hour praying together.

Thank you. This is powerful. We are bending over backwards when we should be holding the line. We need to remember the Bible: Woe onto him that calls evil good and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness. Hold the line dear parents.

I often think of King David and Absalom. Absalom misbehaved (with good reason) and run away for three years. David didn’t reach out to him. Absalom then reached out.

Our children on the other hand misbehaved with no good reason, often running away into the wilderness and despite us reaching out several times as we have done we get sheer cruelty.

What a messed up society we live in. We must return to God. We must hold the line.

PS I’m not excusing Absalom. David could and should have reached out before as it’s clear that by the time the betrayal happened Absalom had been harbouring hatred and negativity whilst faking love. May God deliver us from further betrayal and heartache. But we must still hold the line and follow God’s Law.
