This is exactly how I feel. I took my daughter to numerous therapists and psychiatrists thinking they would help her and instead I feel like they took away the daughter I raised. I'm so incredibly sad and heartbroken, I miss my daughter. I no longer see her in the person standing in front of me now.
This and like an Underground Railroad secret thing. You get connected to one person who connects you to another. It’s amazing to get phone calls from across the country. It’s good to see more light being shined on it. It’s hopeful.

You should be able to google it. This is a spiritual battle. Keep the faith because God ALWAYS wins! Things are happening that we cannot yet see. Prayers to all going through this.
Yes, 100%. I always wonder if one day we’ll be able to trace where this ideology is really coming from. Because when you listen closely, so many people repeat the same responses, the same narratives, and even show the same behavior patterns, almost like they’re all drawing from one common source. That’s the part that concerns me most: not just what they believe, but how coordinated and programmed it often sounds.
Honestly, whether we’re talking about a modern internet version from around 2010 or something that goes back to the 1940s/50s, that’s not really the main point I was making. The point is the concept itself: watching someone you love feel like their mind has been taken over, almost abducted, and replaced by a cultural script, agenda, or narrative that no longer sounds like them. That is the painful part. It’s not about proving the exact origin of the phrase. It’s about describing what it feels like when someone you love seems to disappear behind an ideology.
You mentioned if it can be traced to the root. There were newsletters before the internet. Forums were created in the early days of the internet. Tumblr was another magnet for trans.
John Money is one of the early ones from the more modern iteration of gender theory. Dude was a pedo child abuser who spread it to create more "exotic" victims.
I never watched the movie but sadly can completely relate to the comparison. I most especially can relate to your feeling that your son is still there- because he is. I can also relate to how your faith is what is getting you through. I believe that God doesn’t make “mistakes” and that He sees us parents in our pain wishing for the son He created to come back. I’m trying to “let go and let God” and “Trust in Him”
to bring my son back happy and healthy from this madness because God loves him even more than I do. Praying for God to stay close to our children and help them while we love them through this.
