Excellent! But you have a few typos in there. <3

Thank you for providing these samples of your writing and the resources below. I'm sure it's helpful for other parents who are in a similar situation, but perhaps don't know where to begin when confronting these authority figures. If I can offer just a bit of advice, it would be to tone down the gender critical statements, because those immersed in trans ideology will immediately find that off-putting, and they'll dismiss you outright as a transphobe. You're obviously knowledgeable on the subject, and that can be an asset (providing references to the Cass Report, etc.), but only if they accept your resources as valid. Many parents of students with mental health problems have only minimal understanding of the mental disorder(s) they're dealing with, and you could try posing as just the average concerned parent whose kid is dealing with a problem and needs help. And you are absolutely right that these institutions cater to the trans population, but have no interest in those who desist. It's quite reasonable for a parent with a desisting child to inquire about how to find help, and this can be done without indicating you thought your child never was trans, and that you reject gender affirming care. You are simply stating that the kid wants to present as the gender he/she was before, and needs support with this transition. We know that those who do desist are typically shunned by their former trans-identifying community, so the need for support is huge.

I find these letters so intelligent and compelling that it's hard to imagine they wouldn't move minds. It's starting to feel like the tides may be starting to turn. Unfortunately, as the mother of a 36 year old transitioner, I am always met with the "she is an adult and can do what she wants" narrative. She is no less in crisis than she would have been had she transitioned 20 years ago. There is absolutely nowhere to turn and very little support for those of us in that category. But still, we have to make progress where we can and save those who are savable.

What kind of institution does your son attend? I’m interested in seeing any responses, if any of them are worth posting. I find responses from educational institutions universally disappointing.

Powerful letters! Thank you for using your skills and knowledge to advocate. I truly hope it makes a difference, to open their minds to reconsider the harm the institution is causing. If one institution adds desistance language and care to their website, it gives others reason to do the same. Very happy to hear that your son might be desisting!

Just this week I wrote to my former college at a top UK university to complain about the college’s capture by gender ideology as can be seen by the flags they fly and lanyards that staff wear. I’m still waiting to hear from them.

I have written 3 different letters to professors and educational staff at my son's college when he was transitioning and breaking off his family. I sent them research, spoke of emotional concerns, mental health concerns, parental and family concerns. They basically did nothing, gave me no information, and I felt invalidated. I eventually threatened them with the potential lawsuits coming their way from desisters and cautioned them to consider the medical and affirmative stance they were taking, and told them that if anything happened to my son, I would be one of the folks with a lawsuit against them.

I'm curious what the responses have been from the professors.

Thank you for advocating. Your example letters are skillfully crafted. I pray your efforts will make a dent in the policy and procedure of our institutions.

While I am not in a place to use these resources for my child, these templates are incredibly powerful! Thank you for all your research and guidance.
