Federal Trade Commission hosts conference, “The Dangers of Gender-Affirming Care for Minors”
Exposing the fraud and deception of the gender industry
Did you know that on July 9th the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) hosted a day-long conference called The Dangers of “Gender-Affirming Care” for Minors? Did you watch?
The conference description from the FTC website:
This workshop will focus on unfair or deceptive trade practices in “gender-affirming care” for minors. Doctors, medical ethicists, whistleblowers, detransitioners, and parents of detransitioners will share perspectives grounded in research, expertise, and personal experience. The workshop will help the FTC to understand whether consumers are being or have been exposed to false or unsupported claims about “gender-affirming care” and to gauge the harms consumers may be experiencing.
“For decades we’ve acted against deceptive health claims, from shyster shake-oil salesmen to powerful pharma companies,” said FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson. “The issue we address today is no different.” He’s right! What could be more deceptive than to tell a child or vulnerable adult that they were born in the wrong body, and that extreme, irreversible body modification is safe and reversible, and lifesaving and medically necessary? Or to tell parents that they can either have a live son or a dead daughter? Finally! Someone with authority is willing to listen about the harms of gender ideology.
You may recognize some of the names from the panels and presentations including: Drs. Miriam Grossman, Michael Laidlaw, and Patrick Lappert; attorneys Glenna Goldis, Edmund LaCour, Jordan Campbell, and Josh Payne; Leor Sapir and Jennifer Lahl; whistleblowers Jamie Reed, Leta Boylan, and Eithan Haim; champion of parents Brandon Showalter; and more importantly, the survivors and parents (one who acknowledge being a PITT parent)- Prisha Mosley, Soren Aldaco, Forrest Smith, Claire Abernathy, Simon Amaya Price and his father Gareth, Kayla Lovdahl, Beth Bourne, Elvira Syed, Helen Siegel Lee, Gwen Turecki, Erin Friday; and more.
Each speaker revealed detailed and often shocking accounts of the fraud, deception, and abuse inflicted by the multibillion dollar gender industry. I cried while watching, sometimes out of sadness for all the pain and suffering, and sometimes out of relief that the truth was being heard. The authorities at the FTC got an earful. Maybe they can’t believe that some of what they heard is even real. But PITT parents know very well that it is.
Great news was announced at the conference. The Department of Justice has already started to issue subpoenas, 20 so far, to doctors and clinics involved in harming children. Additionally, in coming days the FTC will be seeking via a hotline to hear from anyone with information or personal experience. This is the perfect opportunity for PITT parents to share the terrible impact that gender ideology has wreaked on their families. What I most hope the FTC understands is, that while there is abuse and deception to uncover at every level of the gender industry, there is really no need to get deep into the weeds to document fraud. That’s because the most fundamental premises of “gender-affirming care” are false - people cannot in fact change sex and there is in reality no coherent definition of gender identity - and this alone renders every single part of the gender industry fraudulent. Tear it all down!

· My goal is this, to see the decimation of the deceitful gender industry for both minors and adults. Erin Friday
Although no medical/pharmaceutical interventions were made with my son until he turned 21, he was 100% groomed online since he was about 13-14. He discovered this ideology slowly through “friend” groups he found on Discord/gaming forums. Shortly afterwords, he started 9th gr in public school. He knew no one and felt alone. Although admin knew, my son didn’t share that his father also tragically passed during this time. Funny how the educational “allies” & a ftm student who befriended swooped in and “helped” him find himself & fit in.
I did what I could back then before the Cass Report, whistleblowers, and PITT were even around. I’m so grateful for what is being done to simply get the word out. I still pray my son desists from this ideology.
I will continue to stand up against this ideology on every front. The grooming and the medicalization must stop!
Thank you to everyone standing up to fight for truth.
Time to name names 😡
