Happy birthday, Erin! Your talk at yesterday's Detransitioner event in DC (I attended in person) was one of the highlights of the day for me. Hearing your list of the some of the main commonalities between the parents/families of children who had detransitioned or desisted, whom you interviewed for the podcast, was fascinating and very helpful. I am looking forward to listening to every episode of the podcast.
Thanks to Erin, but I don't owe any thanks to Ruth Bader Ginsburg. What a nightmare she was. We may never recover from what she did to this country while on the bench. No one should ever follow the trail she was blazing.
Though it was not Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s intention to help Trump, she did help him. She refused to resign from the supreme court during the Obama presidency. This delay in vacating her seat gave President Trump the opportunity to appoint her replacement, who presided after Obama. During Trump’s first term, he appointed three Supreme Justices. Yes — during his first term, Donald Trump appointed three justices to the U.S. Supreme Court. These appointments significantly shifted the Court’s ideological balance.
The Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization was effectively a 5–4 vote to overturn Roe, within a broader 6–3 ruling upholding Mississippi’s law.
This is one of the events that lead me to understand God has intervened to save us.
I knew I was benefiting by Erin Friday’s work but thank you for helping us see to what extent! Happy Birthday, Erin! Thanks for paving the way for us to fight this battle wherever we come from.
