Yes, yes and yes. Love it and I learned a lot of words! I am not a parent of a transgender kid and this is my main cause right now because I see the same thing you see and you described and I don't understand how others parents are indifferent to this, I don't. Those children belong to all of us, these children are the future of this country. We will pass these problems to or children and grandchildren?? We created them with our indifference!! What if at the first signs of these "cases" people would have said NO, nobody cant change their biology and if you believe that you are another thing that your real persona, you are mental unstable, delusional, crazy, or simple the name that have been assigned for doctors, real and honest ones GENDER DYSPHORY. The elephant in the room is why we have so many now. We know that children never think in terms of gender because we all have being kids and we know that would never occur to us, so who is feeding these children with this evil, those are the ones we have to confront and expose. Congratulations, you are in the good path in the path of love, and reading you make me happy! Thanks!

So sorry to hear what you are going through with your son. I don't know how so many people are going along with this madness and can't see the harm it does. Even just admitting that it is real is harmful to one's own mental health and self esteem!

If anyone is interested to read about those males (persons with XY chromosomes) who were allowed to compete and win the women's Olympic boxing events, I wrote a summary recently, because from the info you can find on the news or social media, you would think that anyone who questions the narrative is racist, sexist, etc etc:

If you were gay in the 80's/90's your family would want nothing to do with you. Asinine to attribute the decline in "family values" to trans people. Latin America is far more accepting of LGBT individuals and is far more family oriented than the modern US. Like, if one of your kids was infertile or got unlucky and didn't continue the bloodline would you find that morally reprehensible? If not, then why is transitioning wrong? If it is, then why not have 8 kids like the Amish in order to continue the family name?

How did so many of the faithful end up in hell? Not an eternal hell, granted, but hell on earth in every possible way, but for the brimstone.

May God swiftly deliver us all from this great evil, and spare our children from its clutches. Even if only by the skin of our teeth.

There are no words for me. It is pure evil, disguised as an ideology..with a face of 'human rights, and progressiveness' which makes it very difficult to argue against. It is evil trying/working to destroy God's creation and because there has been a big move over the decades to remove God from life...including some things as simple as church bells...society in general then, has been and is seduced by evil because there is a deliberate removal of the foundation of right and wrong, ethical principles and the value of human life. Jesus wasn't just tempted in the desert three times by the devil and that finished with......that sort of temptation, seduction is ongoing, all the time and humans have lost the art of discernment. I weep over all this destruction and heartbreak and can only pray.

Your words ring so true! Have you read the book, THOUGHT REFORM AND THE PSYCHOLOGY OF TOTALISM by Jay Lifton written in 1961? It looks at how China used mind control in its prisons, universities, an throughout its society. The verbiage used in the process is the same used by those transitioning. My own son talked about his process of being "renewed" once he finally transitioned. The whole concept is based on a trauma bond. It is demonic as you suggested, and steals from its victims. Everything is stolen from their previous identity, family are thrown aside, and the victim struggles with guilt and shame many years after coming out of the trauma of the process. Based on what I have learned from this book, I see that we have slowly and steadily allowed the infiltration of the ideology into our culture for many years. It is an intentional act of war, I think, and it has damaged us tremendously. It renders our young men unable to fight and does a great job of destroying the culture from within.

I'm editing one of the first detransitioner memoirs for Laura Becker and I printed your list to use for the book. Ironically I am on the chapter about the providers and activist groups. This will be very handy. Thank you.

PS Laura's book is exceptional. She is a tremendous writer and is offering a face saving path out for other young people.

It is good that PITT is talking about cults and high control groups. The overwhelming support in this substack for Trump, which alternates between clear and subtle, takes away any credibility of truly understanding cult dynamics. I initially thought this was a place for a more balanced perspective regarding medical regret.

The most diabolical thing that parents have faced in the history of humankind has been set before you, yet you think we need a “balanced perspective.” Gruesome medical experimentation on healthy bodies is “medical regret” according to you. You’re sick in the head! After reading the pain in this essay you have the audacity to tell parents they now need to carry water for your political tic? You think these parents haven’t had to endure enough yet?? Get out of here.

When I mentioned the word cult my reference point is my own 20 + year experience in a high control religion that included the use of coercive control with politics and voting via threats of eternal torture for voting for a Democrat directly from the pulpit. It blurred the lines between the Republican party and the gospel including supporting election denial. Now on the outside when I view this group I see the markers of a cult and part of that is embracing MAGA and the way it intersects with their religious beliefs. Mostly they frighten me with their lack of self and institutional awareness and inability to address or acknowledge when Trump lies. That is not to say everyone who votes Republican is part of one. Still, I believe my experience is valid and important to share.

I am here because I listen to the stories of others. The sentiment here is overwhelmingly in support of Trump. That is not based just on this article but a review of many over many months. That sort of alignment puts credibility into question. I am not here to argue. I'm making an observation and others are free to do what they want with that. I am aware of left and right bias.

I have voted moderate left pretty much forever. I thought Trump was a huckster back in the 1980s and still do now. With the rise of social media, we're at our most polarized politically since 1968 (and expect riots in Chicago) Mainstream media sources, whether left or right have gone to be partisan activists like Hearst was back at the turn of the 20th Century.

We no longer agree on what consensus reality is.

The freaking AP did a story on how mean people were to the male boxers beating women up at the Olympics and checking every talking point off from the online Algerian trolls. The AP used to be extremely reliable. The Left leaning media are worse, and the Right media are just a mirror of the left.

This will be the first year that I'll split my ticket when I'm voting. For some things, you can go to the primary source materials and figure out the facts, but the social pressures to remain in one's group are immense, and only amplified by the social media engagement algorithms.

Trump or not, Kamala actually made the statement, "We have to keep WOKE." Gender ideology and WOKE go hand in hand. You make a vote at the ballot box....do I want to live with WOKE and end up with ongoing and increasing gender + issues or do I think it is harmful? You vote and the country decides. I think most folk in the group understand how harmful the ideologies are. If you haven't investigated at a deeper level, I encourage you to look into WOKE ideology and gender ideology.

Funny....I don't read these essays and see people/parents supporting trump. If you think anyone who posts about their religious faith as a trump supporter, I can say you are incorrect. Plenty of Dems (religious and non), agnostics and atheists show up here. I rarely see any replies referencing trump. Maybe this isn't the stack for you?

Umm. I would guess that the amount of people that end up voting for Trump will end up being about half of the country’s voters. Generally I would expect the amount on the PITT board to be even higher because the other party is advocating and passing laws to take away trans children from parents. I don’t think you can clump half American voters into a cult. That cheapens the actual definition of a cult, and it dismisses any helpful discussion merely based on if someone is a D or an R. That’s cheap.

All your words explain my sleep and mood disturbance since my now 22 year old son started down the lunacy of destroying his mind and body a month after his 19th birthday..

Some more words, which include the experience and pain of many PITT parents: regret, yearning, terrible, relentless, cheated, inescapable dark shadow of a primal unnecessary loss, cruel solitude of psychic pain, .incredulous, daily retramatization, hopeless while clinging to hope, weary, mockery of effort to raise a son or daughter, preoccupation with my son in effect kidnapped while our society is indifferent , cowardly, virtue signaling, and enabling.

Words, words, words for feelings underneath words. If only the words "I miss my son" were enough to restore him to himself and to my husband and me, who are both broken hearted, and to his sister. My naive son duped by the magical credo that if you think your trans, then your trans. If only I had magic, to rescue my son from his debilitating, deminished path and heal my fractured family. If only my words "wake up, just stop all of this absurdity already" could bury this evil ideology deep in the ground or in the depth of an ocean.

According to Dion Fortune, "magic is the changing of consciousness in accordance with will". That change in consciousness is created by engaging in rituals, using and contemplating symbols, chanting incantations, meditation, and mentorship/tutelage provided by respected mages. And of course, interacting with other magic practitioners who are following the same path to enlightenment. Your son's consciousness of himself and the world was changed by those means. Most likely online and in his school, by his peers and influential adults. As we're all well aware here, that dark magic is capturing the imaginations of thousands of young people these days. It is arguably demonic in nature, but I'll save that lecture for another time. You asked about magic. Your son (and all trans spell bound young people) need new magical rituals, symbols, incantations and mentoring to restore natural and proper consciousness. Of course, in our modern materialistic age what I've written there about magic is often ridiculed as primitive and absurd. Magic? Ritual? Symbols? Incantations? Come on! We're beyond that sort of primitive mumbo jumbo! Jung is soo last century. But if you look closely you'll see exactly what I'm talking about: the symbols and sigils, the ceremonial rituals, the incantations, etc., that firmly lodged the trans idea in his head and heart. They're easily detected once you understand what they are and do. And it's not primitive mumbo jumbo anymore, or confined to old school psychology. Interestingly enough, modern science has been investigating brain plasticity and has discovered that with the use of symbols and rituals, and the repetitive engaging of mind and body in actions of concentrated will (and mentorship, and everything else I listed off there) we can change how we perceive and react. It involves mirror neurons and amygdala function in our brains, among other things. People have overcome PTSD, chronic pain, being overweight, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Syndrome, and other debilitating conditions by "magical" means. They changed their consciousness in accordance with will using symbols, ritualistic behaviors, etc. I believe that the dark magic of Trans Mania can be addressed that way too. With committed (and unified) counter magic.

Yikes, that cut me off there! I just wanted to add that unfortunately in the case of your son (and with all trans spellbound young adults) the will to change one's consciousness has to come from within. It can't be imposed or forced by you or anyone else really. But if you ever see a spark of that will, fan and feed it. And encourage him to engage in healthy and reality based rituals, symbols, gatherings, etc.

Thank you. I needed a cry for the day. This made me think of what I say about a child that dies. I used to say it would be worse to just have them missing. But now I think this is the most tragic. They are going missing right before our eyes. We have to watch. we can cry. We can yell it won’t make it any different. They just keep going. They keep disappearing right before us. I hug I plead, but they are being snatched away no matter what I do. This really is the ultimate hell

“I began to imagine this ideology as having emerged straight from the pits of hell.  I find this an oddly useful way to think about it, and I do not consider it to be hyperbole.”

💯agree!! I came to this realization a couple years ago and it really makes sense to me. Although I get some pushback and strange looks when I insist that the trans movement is evil, I firmly believe it to be true. Framing things as me trying to fight against Satan who has captured my daughter along with so many others is quite useful. Thanks for your post! Sending strength to continue the fight! 💪
