When Will the Real Women Stand Up? By: Jen Van Outer, a Real Woman, with a son who doesn’t believe he’s a Real Man, who is experiencing the unique pain and cognitive dissonance that results from the collision of feminism, with gender confusion within a family.
This captures one of the most frustrating aspects of mothering a 15 year old boy who identifies as a trans “woman”. On top of the terror and grief associated with seeing your child headed on a path toward thd irreversible destruction of his body, and the horror of seeing that society cheers this on, there’s the absolute fury in seeing otherwise rational women blindly accept an ideology of ridiculous stereotypes that harm us because now “woman” is just a costume and a feeling men have. It’s beyond infuriating.
