You are very welcome. I hear a lot of chatter against Dr. Oz - Fetterman's opponent. Whatever - we need him over Fetterman. That is my view. Vote out those who support RGT. Almost everyone under attack in the mainstream media for whatever reason are likely better.
I haven't been following the PA elections. Were they already held? I thought this was saying the new governor had already been just voted in. Please explain this more clearly to someone who know nothing about the PA elections.
Who is RGT, please? Which candidate is the most opposed to gender ideology and supportive of protecting kids from affirmative care?
Is the other candidate at all amenable to GC views?
There was a lot in the news about who the Republican Senate candidate would be in PA and Dr. Oz was chosen. He will run against Democrat Fetterman.
I am not exactly following the PA Senate race but was very disturbed to find that Fetterman hired a radical trans activist. Per the article I posted above:
"Pennsylvania lieutenant governor John Fetterman’s (D.) campaign for Senate is tapping a far-left activist who has called allowing children to undergo surgical gender transitions a matter of "human rights."
The Fetterman campaign launched Real Doctors Against Oz Wednesday, an initiative meant to discredit Mehmet Oz, the Republican nominee for Senate. Val Arkoosh is among the activists taking shots at Oz. Arkoosh, a failed Senate candidate, has a history of pushing gender theory. When she was still a candidate for Senate, Arkoosh sent out an email calling a parent’s right to refuse "gender affirming care" for their children a "gross violation of both human rights and the relationship between a patient and their doctor." She also falsely claims that it’s legal to discriminate against transgender individuals in employment."
Thank you so much! That was really clear and helpful. I like that Radical part in the phrase.
I have been replacing "gender" with "sex role" as much as possible, because gender refers to the products of sex-role socialization from birth, onward. The word "gender" is being used to obscure and mystify what is being referred to, exactly. Sex-role also shows the sexism, regressiveness, superficiality, and absurdity of this ideology. For example:
Gender-affirming care becomes sex-role affirming care
Gender identity becomes sex-role identity
Etc.
So Radical Gender Theory would become Radical Sex-Role Theory. Does anyone really want to embrace sex roles in 2022? Hopefully not, especially not lefties.
I think a problem with your tweak is that people who are not steeped in the nightmare themselves and are not paying much attention may not understand what problem or concern you are discussing... Christopher Rufo explains how RGT is effective:

@realchrisrufo
I'm hoping conservatives can unite behind the phrase "radical gender theory" as the catch-all for queer theory, trans ideology, neo-pronouns, and gender identity activism that has captured America's public institutions. It's accurate, powerful, and persuasive language.
"Gender ideology" is good, but works better in European and Latin American contexts. "Queer Theory" is the academic term, but normie parents will be hesitant to use the word. "Radical gender theory" is accurate, flexible, and builds on the connotation of "critical race theory."
The Left's linguistic defense on CRT was to say "CRT is only in law schools" and "that's not explicitly labeled CRT." "Radical gender theory" will neutralize both those defenses: we're imposing the label on a set of concepts and ideologies; debating the specifics is a win for us.
We can elaborate on Michel Foucault, Gayle Rubin, and Judith Butler for technical and academic audiences. But for communicating with the average mom who's seeing this ideology spreading in her local school district, "radical gender theory" hits all the right buttons."
I'll add that I am neither on the Left nor on the Right. I just want Normal back so that we are no longer organizing life around mental disorder, fetish, and confused kids who are collateral damage in a war of greed and crazy.
I am happy to hear that GIDS at Tavistock is closing, obviously, but I cannot say I share your joyful tone. This battle is far from over. A few thoughts.
1) Tavistock has not actually closed yet, so let's keep a close eye on it. I also get the impression that the closure is as much a pre-emptive move given they have hundreds of lawsuits coming their way as it is a consequence of the damning Cass Report.
2) The GIDS service at Tavistock is being replaced by multiple regional hubs. TRAs are already spinning this as an overall win for them.
3) No action has yet been taken, as far as I'm aware, to halt the likes of Mermaids and Stonewall going into schools and indoctrinating small children with their bullshit. Ergo the trans production line is currently continuing unabated. This damage may take generations to undo; the brainwashed children of today are the TRAs of tomorrow.
4) On social media GC people (chiefly women) continue to be doxxed, harassed, abused, threatened and banned for stating biological facts or raising safeguarding concerns. This appalling behaviour is entirely supported and encouraged by those who control such platforms.
5) There still appears to be widespread ignorance/apathy about the issue among the general population. Far too many otherwise intelligent adults I speak to either think it's an unimportant storm in a teacup (not entirely surprising given the economic situation), or otherwise have been captured by the nonsense.
I'm sorry to be sounding a downer note, and I long for the day to come where all of society looks back in horror that we ever allowed such a destructive, nonsensical ideology to take root. But that day has not yet come. Tavistock closing is a good start.
What will you do? Nothing – because it doesn’t affect you? Nothing – because you don’t want to look ‘intolerant?’ Nothing – because you are afraid of what others will think of you? If you decide to do nothing you will be part of a group that history has already judged and found wanting; “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” (Edmund Burke)
Thank you Nowhere Man. Our nightmare started in April. My daughter's pediatrician directed us immediately to a gender clinic after I expressively explained my concerns about gender affirmation in a long private letter before our appointment. I practically begged her to help us find a psychologist. This woman had known my perfectly happy and feminine daughter from the age of 5 (she is now 16). A similar scenario happened twice more. I have lost faith in the American medical professionals. They seem to have more to gain by going along with this madness. I am ready to pack my bags and move to the UK.
I too was filled with joy at the news that the Tavistock was tumbling down. My joy however was short lived because I waited day after day to see the ripple effect in the news. I live in the States and here journalists hardly mentioned this big life saving news from the UK. I feel sick. The light at the end of the long tunnel is very dim. Most American doctors, especially pediatricians, have lost their moral compass. More and more gender clinics are available in the US. Sadly we do not have an equivalent to Dr Hilary Cass. Hopefully her voice will eventually carry over the Atlantic. Because money is the only thing that talks in the US, I now wait for the lawsuits to kick up in the UK to give American doctors a taste of what's coming to them. Hope it won't be too late for my daughter.
Thank, God! I was worried that my grandchildren might try that; there mother is heavily into it and even said she'd be thrilled if here kids were transgendered. She believes all that crap, but the kids are OK. Now she has two more being indoctrinated with her second husband. Parents do have to educated themselves and fight against these horrible surgical and medicinal abuse of children. I talked to my kids in the 90s about puberty and that made all the difference in the world. Keep up the good fight!
For obvious reasons I would love not to be a parent involved in all this gender crap. I would love to be able to stand up and be public about this, but we are all hobbled by our attempts to maintain some kind of relationship with our deluded children, and so we hover in the shadows, writing anonymous letters. We are in great debt to those who have put themselves on the frontline, weathering the vicious assaults of men with bad wigs and pouty lips who work in IT and find their fetish is threatened by a dose of reality.
Very well expressed, Not Jenny. These two sentences in the wonderful post really resonated with me:
"We keep quiet for fear of what will unravel as we try to keep our families safe. We close our lives down methodically so we can concentrate on the task at hand—keeping our families together and safe against the odds." - LM
“We are slowly coming out of the shadows and we are angry and raw and we will stop at nothing to protect our children, and their siblings, their fathers and their mothers and all family members impacted by the scourge of gender ideology. I was wounded and, like a wounded bear, I am now ready to fight. I am not alone.”
YES!! 100% agree! Such great news!!!! Thank God for answered prayers!
This is fantastic news! Thank you God! I just hope that similar change happens here in the US now. May be too late for my child but I’m so happy that now many others will be spared
Definitely great news. The UK had to just shed light on the truth. In the US the gender cult is undeniably attached to our politics. That is a much harder obstacle to overcome. As a surgeon in California and based on my experience, gender ideology and rapid access to medicalization is 100% supported by liberal democrat politics. To me, the only way to free my child and future children is to 100% oppose them politically.
I'm looking to collaborate politically with other GCs in California, particularly to stop harmful legislation and perhaps propose our own legislation to our Calif. electeds. Even if you are too busy to do this writing and research, if you are interested in giving advice and/or signing on to, or contacting your legislators about key bills, that would be very helpful. I don't know if there is a way to privately contact other Substack participants, but it would be nice to be able to communicate with you privately about this if you'd be OK with that.
Currently, I'm writing amendments to suggest to California assembly members, to de-fang the worst of SB 923, which is close to being approved by the Assembly. The Senate has already signed it,.and Newsom will. This legislation would create a committee of transactivists plus representatives (captured ones, no doubt) of various agencies, the insurance industry, and MDs to create a mandatory course "curriculum" about the "trans history of oppression," pronouns, and likely, ordering doctors to prescribe, refer, for,, or perform surgeries on demand. Doctors who are complained about and deemed to not be following this curriculum will be required to re-take the course until deemed to be in compliance, or *be put on a state, public-facing website* which, of course. trans rights activists (TRAs) could check and then harass the doctors or put them out of business.
It is shocking that medical organizations are supporting this bill. First, putting people or groups on public lists for being in ideological disagreement with a state-sponsored belief is what the Nazis did. It's here in our state in 2022, and about to be approved by the California legislature. That should alarm and be a rallying cry to all, yet major medical organizations are supporting this bill. Second, it is dangerous to doctors and clinics. Third, it sets a terrible precedent for coercing doctors to prescribe against their best judgment and science, and knowingly risk malpractice.
If you are interested in participating in this volunteer work with me in any way. large or small, please let me know.
It's attached to our politics here in the UK too. All left and centre parties over here (Labour, LibDems, Greens, SNP) are ideologically captured. Very few of their MPs have dared oppose gender ideology and those that do (like Rosie Duffield) have paid a heavy price. It has left many non-Tory voters such as myself politically homeless. On the surface one could look at us from outside and say what's the worry, the Tories have an 80 seat majority. But the country is entering economic meltdown and so it is entirely conceivable that Labour or some leftish coalition could take power at the next election.
Yes, thanks each and every person that contributed to this win.
As for the comment below about “stupid” Americans — the issue is supposedly the brightest minds in the medical field are on the trans train. The top hospitals. Cowards within those institutions who know how wrong this is and unwilling to speak up. In the US this is a multi billion dollar business with money coming off the backs of the poor people whose bodies are deformed and going to the richest hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. The top colleges are in on the money. Teachers and professors are railroaded. I have more faith that Canada will wake up. There, there is socialized medicine unlike the money grabbing US. Just like the opioid crisis, it will take lawyers to bring this down. The media needs to actually stop and listen.
The Illinois governor, JB Pritzker and his trans brother are funding millions, probably billions to hospitals around the country to further trans surgeries and clinics. Look into this, hardly anyone is talking about this.
I think the explanation for the "stupid" whoevers and the top hospitals, etc., being on the trans train (and many other foolish trains, I might add), is that the people the system deems "smart" are those that can memorize and regurgitate "facts," not those who think critically. And second guessing, thinking critically, can get in the way of memorizing facts. I have often marvelled at the lack of critical thinking skills of doctors. My kids' pediatrician told me about a book he'd read about nutrition - had turned him vegan - and I asked if he'd looked at criticism of the book. He looked confused - criticism? he asked. I said yeah, to understand any argument you need to look at criticism, so you can think it through better and see what makes the most sense. You can't just read a book and believe it. Foreign concept to this man, who is very kind and obviously smart enough for medical school.
I agree 100%. And we have schools telling people how “smart” they are based on tests that do not generally measure critical thinking and definitely not common sense. However, the money making machines behind all this will be tough to bring down. Frankly, I am hoping there is no money to be made helping people detransition— but unfortunately I do not see a world where that could happen. This is one area where no matter what these doctors do, people are “happy” with the results as that is what they are telling themselves, at least temporarily. Back to your point — we can all use more critical thinking. I believe anyone in this country who thinks they are not influenced by advertising and the media is not being honest with themselves. In this case, with the tsunami of harm happening to young minds, it really takes very little critical thinking to understand this is wrong. I was pressured to believe the trans train — especially as a moderate to liberal. It was the cognitive dissonance and pain that allowed me to find others willing to support each other and continue to fight.
Thank you for letting us share in your joy.
thanks for sharing...made me tear up just a bit...may the tides really be turning and more and more of us willing and able to speak up to end this travesty against our youth.

It will take a long time in US - we have a unbelievable talent for hiding the truth when money is involved.
True. I believe it goes deeper than money though. The Marxist ideals run strong in our institutions and needs to be dismantled.
