"He played with dolls? Cut off his balls. She climbed a tree? Mastectomy." This perfectly describes the thinking behind the rush to transition gender nonconforming kids. This is trans healthcare in a nutshell. Author, did you think of this yourself? It really should be on signs, bumper stickers, and t-shirts.
I wonder if a message as simple as "I love nature" or "thank you, nature" would get the message across. It sounds like an invitation to fight nowadays.
Well written! My daughter's first tattoo at 18 was a knife & gun! Now she has many more very ugly inked themes at the ripe old age of 20! From someone who used to be so anti-violence, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it- the knife, especially. Not a very amicable symbol for a cult who wants everyone to bow down kindly to them.
At the school where I teach, we just had a professional development session on "How do we help kids feel like they belong?" The middle-aged female librarian shouted out, triumphantly, "use their preferred pronouns!" No one made a peep. A few of the younger female teachers nodded. I wonder if any of my colleagues know that the reason why many kids declare opposite sex pronouns is precisely because they feel like they don't belong? If you're autistic, depressed, or lonely, this librarian will help you onto the conveyor belt headed toward sterilization and amputation (there there are four shelves dedicated to LGBTQ, which is mostly T these days), and she'll feel great about herself as she does. You'll get to feel cool and edgy for a few years. Then, someday, what you've actually done will dawn on you.
That’s wonderful. Maybe pronoun sharing is losing whatever cool it had. I’m looking forward to the time when young people associate all that with their parents’ generation and reject it.
Hmm... Did the librarian consider going through those thingies she works with...what are they called...I remember, BOOKS! I think there might be one or two that talk about how not belonging is a common experience of adolescence and how people get through it. Maybe she could try.... suggesting the kids read them... And if she is super ambitious have a book club so kids can relate to one another. Crazy idea, right?
I want to write so much more on this topic. Many of these ASD kids live on line and are sucked into LGBTQ+ groups who prey on them. Even Roblox which is an online game children as young as 8 play has a strong trans group. Amino Hamilton is like Craigslist for children to hook up with same sex children and
adults. Sounds crazy? I've seen it first hand. Best thing a parent can do right now is take away unfettered Internet access. Install access controls and do not give in just because other children have access to these sites.
I am 54. I am VERY neurodivergent. I know first hand how addictive it is being on line as a young teen. I was a hacker/phreaker at 13 and all my friends were on line (pre internet) and had aliases. I still go by "The Refugee" as I have for the past 40 years. I have logs of these services to prove my point. Girls as young as 12/13 are advertising for sex with women between the ages of 18 and
I hadn't heard "He played with dolls? Cut off his balls. She climbed a tree? Mastectomy!" but I want that on a tee-shirt or bumper sticker to show how vile this cult is.
The cult is vile. You are braver than me to wear that on a tee-shirt, although I would wear it if others did. You be first, and you will start a fashion.
Beware of any politician's words, left or right, always. The Clinton Foundation partnered with the American Heart Association in yet another NGO spin off called Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Peruse 'Tools and Affirmations for Outspoken Allies' for a flavor of their work. Elsewhere on the site, they provide a link to Johns Hopkins' 'Tips for Parents of LGBTQ Youth.' It is all a giant web destined to decimate the health of a generation.
As for the evil t-shirt, it might as well be pharma cartel advertising. Gender medicine (and whatever else the big medicine masters have in mind) is destined to provide windfall for the state - at least until this ends.
Both Walz and Flanagan are endorsed by HRC and certainly heavily funded.
The shirt is available for 28 bucks from the Michigan based Transfigure Print Company started in 2017 when things really got rolling after years of subtle indoctrination. The company not only sells LGBTQ+ goods, it also donates to a myriad of organizations and to trans individuals on gofundme.
Yes, plus there is HRC’s zany pedigree as I mentioned above. Also Angelou was a hardened Marxist and Castro lover who doubtless would be a trans supporter if she were alive today.
You know what? Amongst all the misery and angst it’s really good to hear some healthy truth and a much needed dose of sarcasm because that’s what this issue deserves-our disgust. Our kids have been hijacked by these virtue signalling do gooders for long enough.
I'm sure Mrs Clinton is perfectly fine with her quote being misworded. She's totally on the trans train, so it makes no difference to her. She's a protector of women's rights like I'm the tooth fairy.
I’m glad you mentioned that. In her formative years, HRC also expressed support for government interference in family situations. She said this in a 1979 article: “Decisions about motherhood and abortion, schooling, cosmetic surgery, treatment of venereal disease, or employment, and others where the decision or lack of one will significantly affect the child’s future should not be made unilaterally by parents. Children should have a right to be permitted to decide their own future if they are competent.”
At some point we have to step out of the bitterness and hopelessness and move toward focus on righteous, empowering action. Hopefully this piece is cathartic for you and will help with that.
Excellent essay and you also raised many valid points. Her shirt is so offensive on so many levels... and the knife cuts right into our hearts, doesn't it?

This writing is so smart. And really...what is with the knife and rose???? Ugh.

“He played with dolls? Cut off his balls. She climbed a tree? Mastectomy!”
Best line ever that sums up in the fewest words the ridiculous and dangerous nature of the transgender movement.
This is so well done! Thank you!
I agree but I couldn’t think of another more descriptive word as I was writing!

Anecdotal observation - pronouns are fading in email signatures and meetings. Sign of a change?

yes, I think the knife is used as a justification for violent protection of ‘Trans Kids’...
I hadn't heard "He played with dolls? Cut off his balls. She climbed a tree? Mastectomy!" but I want that on a tee-shirt or bumper sticker to show how vile this cult is.
I am still gathering courage to wear that "Adult human female" t-shirt

Okay, I'll create one on Redbubble!

Disgust is mild word to describe how we feel bout having our children hijacked by evil.
Truth!

Not someone to count on as an ally.
I love that you use the world “hackneyed”
I hear you. It’s a fucking nightmare.
