Panic at The American Academy of Pediatrics

In the near future…..

A local office of the American Academy of Pediatrics is in crisis. The building is surrounded by an angry crowd.

The director of the office yells for his assistant. “Terry, get in here! Who are all those demonstrators? The building is surrounded!”

“Doctor - It’s the FBI. They are demanding entrance to our office. Our security guard has stopped them for the moment, but they will be here any minute. They want to see you. There are also members of the press and parents of some of our patients. The parents are carrying signs that say, ‘Stop Transing Our Kids’.”

The doctor froze and immediately went pale. “Oh my god…Help me shred the records of all our trans patients. We can’t have any incriminating evidence in our offices. Get online and start deleting the electronic records of all trans kids.”

“I’m sorry doctor; our internet connection has been severed and cell phone service is blocked. We can’t access our electronic records.”

“Oh, that’s terrible! Well at least we can shred these paper records.”

“Doctor, why are you destroying the records of all our trans patients?”

“The gender treatments and experiments on children overseen by the American Academy of Pediatrics have never been shown to help children. We keep sponsoring studies, but the studies never show positive results. In fact, children are always much worse after our treatments.

"But the timing of this raid is terrible! The American Academy of Pediatrics only cares about ideology, but we can't let the public know that! The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services just released a review of the evidence and best practices for treatment of pediatric gender dysphoria. That review stated, among other things, that 'the evidence for benefit of pediatric medical transition is very uncertain.' Although that review confirms findings in the pesky Cass Review released last year, it's extremely damaging to our research! How could that review question our experiments?? The AAP president, Dr. Susan J. Kressly, immediately issued a statement about how the AAP was 'deeply alarmed' and that the HHS report 'prioritizes opinions over dispassionate reviews of evidence'. But we don't have any evidence that the treatments work! That's why we continue to experiment on children - to find some evidence! Dr. Kressly also sprinkled phrases like 'current medical consensus', 'the realities of pediatric care', and 'evidence-based, age-appropriate care' throughout her statement so that the public and news organizations would think the AAP actually cares about children."

"Doctor, I thought the AAP only endorsed care that was evidence-based."

“Of course not! The goals of the AAP are to do research on gender-distressed children and only report results that support our ideology. Just look at the fine work being done by Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy down in the L.A. area. When her research doesn’t support gender ideology, she just suppresses the research. What a fine scientist! Suppression of the truth is a defining trait of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Patient harm doesn’t matter.”

“Doctor, that’s not science.”

“Don’t tell me what science is. I’m a doctor. Research is all that matters. Electroshock therapy on children in 1940’s and 1950’s, LSD experiments on children in the 1960’s, and now gender experiments on children in the last 20 years are all important contributions to science.

“Doctor, all those researchers were monsters.”

“They were doing science! No one appreciated the work they were doing. No one appreciates the research we’re doing! The American Academy of Pediatrics is doing important gender research! The release of the WPATH files was bad enough. Just like WPATH, we know we are offering children life-changing treatments they don’t understand. But we use language to lure parents into signing up their kids for our research. The phrase ‘a dead daughter or a live son’ has been a godsend to us.”

There’s a knock at the door. The doctor opens the door. “Sir, as the doctor in charge of this office of the American Academy of Pediatrics, you are under arrest for medical malpractice and gross negligence on minors.”

The doctor is led out of the building in handcuffs. He is followed by other doctors in handcuffs. Members of the press are yelling questions at them. “Why do you experiment on children?” “How many years have you known that your treatments don’t work?” “How many of your patients go into depression after your experiments?” The doctors bow their heads and are silent. A few minutes later, FBI agents carry boxes of documents out of the building.

The rest of the crowd starts to get agitated. People start yelling, “Lock up the AAP doctors!”. The crowd cheers. Children everywhere are safer now that the doctors are being taken away.
