You can try to engage them at that level, but that level is all wishful theoretical bullshit disguised as high knowledge. Not based in reality or fact or objective evidence. Here's what you say to idiots like this psychologist:

"We don't need to be psychologists to know what sex and gender are, and what our kids are going through. Why are are you trying to co-opt common sense? What objective evidence do you have for any of this nonsense?"

A friend just shared that his 10 year old daughter came home and said she is a lesbian because she has a crush on a girl at school. This is after several weeks of her bringing topics home from school regarding gender fluidity. They are now looking at home-school and private school options.

The psychologizing of the human condition is at the root of all this confusion. Promoting the fundamental idea that a person's feelings determines their well-being is a deeply harmful message and just plain wrong. Unfortunately, the modern public has swallowed this concept, hook, line and sinker, to our great detriment. We are now forced to accept lies and deny reality. We must refuse and resist this coercion, for the sake of our kids. This includes the lie that homosexuality is normal and that you can have your LGB ideology without the T. It's all based on the same fundamental lies that you can be "free to be" whoever you decide you want to be, and you can "love" (i.e., lust after) whoever you want. You can't and you shouldn't.

Underlying all of this is the question about the character of God. When doubting His love, He becomes a monster who created me in this human body that constricts and defines me and traps me. Psalm 139 then turns God into creepy narcissist. Having a human body brings up gender dysphoria for those who are sensitive, critical thinkers (think ‘neurodivergent’). If we could get to the heart of addressing the human condition, the existential question of what it means to live with a human body, male or female, maybe we could flesh out appreciation and appropriate constructive responses, rather than circumventing away from the pain of the human condition. That Jesus came to give us freedom, peace, and acceptance of God’s love.

100% agree. Without God, people just make up whatever they want to suit their own personal desires, in any given moment. It's a terrible way to live.

The idea that parents should allow children to explore and create their own reality about an objectively verifiable issue such as biological gender is ludicrous. Kids have imaginary friends, monsters under their beds, and pretend to be dinosaurs. They have little appreciation for cause and effect, long term goals, and haven’t the experience to

appreciate unintended consequences. Parents are responsible for grounding them in reality and teaching them to accept and be at ease with their physical appearance, not enable and normalize delusional

thinking and destructive fantasies.

Obsoletely. Social media and internet is complimenting what is pushed in schools. We used a software called MoBiCIP for years on devices that helped mitigate the internet influence. Movies, Tiktok and music/videos are also creating this confusion. Sadly it’s hard to participate in culture right now.

Absolutely! I was just about to post this, but you beat me to it. It is our job as parents to set boundaries for our children, guide them to make good choices, protect them from making potentially life-shattering mistakes, etc, for the simple fact that their brains are not fully developed until age 25. For the "experts" to ignore this simple fact is both mind-blowing and criminal.

"Uncomfortable" can cover a lot of ground!

BODY IDENTITY INTEGRITY DISORDER is a medical diagnosis.

(BIID) is a medical condition in which the patient feels compelled to amputate one or more healthy limbs or has the delusion that they are already missing a limb and are believing they are thusly “handicapped”. Patients may also be drawn to disabilities such as blindness or paraplegia. In-depth research on Body Integrity Identity Disorder began in the late 1990s, when psychologists recognized it as a condition much like Gender Identity Disorder.

When you come right down to it the so-called “Sex Reassignment Surgery” is nothing but Cosmetic Surgery! Just self-neutered people, who become neither male nor female… or anything else! They are a self-castrated eunuch through drugs and surgery!

No matter how or what you try: surgical sex organ mutilation, drugs, change your name, hairstyle, and clothing, or whatever, you just can’t reverse engineer those xx and xy chromosomes into something else. The internal organs are not replaced, they are removed or altered into some ersatz NON-FUNCTIONING component! Only an approximated APPEARANCE of the outer organs has changed! You are now gender-nullified, neither male nor female. Your ‘sexual experience’ in your newly chosen preferred “gender” will be far distant from the pleasures of what is considered as ‘normal and natural’, or even Homosexual! God Himself gave those chromosomes to you, at the moment of your conception.

Transgender activists insist the only acceptable way to treat gender dysphoria is with puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, which will in most cases permanently sterilize all of those children, then surgery. But is it a good practice to turn children into life-long medical patients? We are talking about powerful drugs that have many negative side effects and surgeries that amputate healthy body parts. None of this is necessary: Studies show that 80 to 95 percent of so-called Transgendered children come to accept their natural biological sex as their hormones change during puberty… IF they are allowed to go through the natural puberty process!

good article and letter. yes, every stat and claim by the gender industry is a lie. no, kids with gender dysphoria dont commit suicide more than other kids with same non gender psych issues. no, gender meds dont help anything - UK, Sweden Finland say they harm kids more than they help. Looking at the same studys big biz uses to claim gender meds help - these countries found these same studys show gender meds dont help dysphoria, mental health, social functioning or anything. the US gov has never done a review of the evidence that gender meds help. yes, 85% of kids grow out of gender dysphoria on their own, unless socially affirmed or given meds. but even for the 15% who dont grow out of it , theres no evidence affirmation or meds help dysphoria. in many cases its worstened by the meds which also cause a ton of new health problems. amsterdam says those on gender meds long term are doing terrible - they have 50% less life expectancy. boot lickers like the subject presenter should be viewed as if they are ciggarette company reps giving a sales presentation on the benefits of ciggaretes. the gender biz sees parents as a main obstacle to increasing their profits. kids are stupid and easy to trick. its parents who are the real problem. so they created this 20 point conflated BS to make ppls eyes tired via complexity. the problem is every stat and claim is a lie. all based on meaningless online polls and low quality short term stats. the ivory tower thinks theyre explaining gayness to stupid hick parents. the ivory tower missed that they themselves dont know the difference between homosexuality and gender identity, as evidenced by the american academy of pediatrics support for gender affirming care based on mistaken comparisons of the two and arrogent outdated opinions that people in general are homophobic.

the businesses pushing gender meds should be viewed as predators, like in the animal kingdom. where its common for predator animals attack the offspring of other animals for an easy target

Wow, this is a helluva lot to take in and I appreciate what you’ve written! I can’t begin to comment on all of it but will for now just thank you for making clear the difference between the LGB and the T in the alphabet soup. The LGB is a fact, and the T is a perception. The rights of the LGB are totally different from the things the T activists demand. Even some of the T’s are appalled by the “alternate facts” all of us are supposed to embrace lest we get labeled transphobic. (Some of you may want to check out the "LGB Fight Back" website.)

As for the rest of the writing, yes, so many “truths” we are expected to go along with because they are presented to us by so-called experts. When I first heard one of these “experts” talk about the new reality I thought, what the ___? That was years ago. Since then I have tried to listen to every argument on all sides of all aisles. I was thinking, whoa, I must be missing something here. Turns out my first instincts were on target. And I'm grateful to PITT and everyone who takes the trouble to write, talk, encourage dialogue, and have the courage to challenge the “experts” on every piece of this ideology.

Very good read with a lot of information. If I could make one suggestion - I believe that the core of this debate is whether people have an inborn internal characteristic called “gender”. That such a thing exists, is unchangeable and inborn, and can only be measured or observed by the feelings of the person who has it, is presented as a fact by transgender activists and their supporters. This is a sleight of hand - if they present a false premise as fact and then make arguments based on that premise, those arguments sound convincing to anyone who doesn’t think to question the premise which has been presented as something known and agreed on. And if you accept that premise that gender is an inborn characteristic, everything else they say follows - of course kids should be encouraged to discover their true gender as early as possible, and to transition as early as possible, and of course there’s no harm in celebrating and encouraging kids to consider their gender because it would be impossible for anyone not born with this characteristic to be convinced they were trans, and anyone who questions or opposes their child’s transition is just a bigot since their child was born this way and can’t help it, and of course detransitioners should be shunned since they were either lying about being trans or have been browbeaten into living in a way that isn’t their true self and are betraying other trans people.

So any argument we make MUST question this premise. What are the definitions of gender, female, and male? Does changing the definitions of words change anything about reality? How do you know you are born with a gender unrelated to physical sex? If your gender is unrelated to physical sex, why does it require changing your body’s sex characteristics? Do you have internal versions of other physical traits like height? If I insist that my height is a mental state and demand that people call me tall and treat me as though I am tall, and make it a focus of my life to convince everyone they must call me tall, will this make me feel better or worse in the long run about being short? If I become obsessed with wanting to be tall, might I start to feel that I was born in the wrong body? If gender is an inborn characteristic, its prevalence wouldn’t change over time, so where are the hundreds of thousands of women in every previous generation who are actually men but have been living their lives as women due to ignorance?

This article touches on the issue of whether gender identity is inborn, but IMO this needs to be a central, explicit point of any gender critical argument.

Yes, this! I am a woman, and yet I do not claim I can know what it “feels like” to be a woman-- I can only know what it feels like to be me. Some of how I feel does clearly relate to my anatomy and physiology, much does not. Just as I can’t know my various sensory experiences are the same as anyone else’s (e.g., do you and I see the same “red”?), I can’t know if my sense of womanhood is the same as other women’s. This motion of an innate “gender identity” uncoupled from biological sex is SO absurd that it makes it hard to argue against, paradoxically.

I keep having the same conversation with my youngest adult child. I've explained that until recently people didn't claim to have an "internal gender identity" and I personally never met a friend my age (50s) who said, "I feel like a woman on the inside."

Well stated. Presenting a false premise to then argue against is the logical fallacy known as a 'straw man.' The culture/social justice warriors of today (not to mention most "fact-checkers") rely mostly on logical fallacies to "argue" their viewpoints, with the 'red herring' of distraction, and the 'ad hominem' of attacking their opponent, being the other two used most frequently. The thing about resorting to logical fallacies is it means they have nothing of substance to support their claims. You probably know all this already; I'm just stating what I've observed with these people.

Yes, the amount of intellectual dishonesty is stunning. Their arguments don’t make any sense, it’s clear that on some level they know that, but all they care about is “winning” the argument by confusing the reader or mocking their opponents. It makes my head spin. I have yet to hear non-circular definitions of gender and sex (because there aren’t any). I am fine with old school style transgender folks who choose to follow the gender roles and stereotypes of the opposite sex (with or without medical help) while understanding that they haven’t truly changed their sex. It’s not my cup of tea, and I think most people would be far better off making peace with who they are than trying to change it, but adults are free to make their own choices. But I will not accept that physical sex doesn’t exist or is irrelevant. All of human history has known that humans (and all mammals) come in male and female and that sex is an inborn trait that can’t change over your lifetime and it’s nonsense to say otherwise.

This is a very well-thought-out and clearly presented essay. My one quibble is the statement "a boy may feel uncomfortable with his penis." As a man who was once a pubescent boy, I can assure you the great majority of boys become quite comfortable with their awakening penises, and do not suffer the discomfort many girls seem to experience with their newly grown bosoms and onset of menstruation.

I will suggest that what boys are more likely uncomfortable with is being placed in the role of oppressor or sexual predator.

Which may be true, for boys who are in situations (e.g., public school) where they are propagandized with such beliefs; however, that is a different topic and has nothing to do with their penile level of comfort. Having a penis is not only comfortable, it is frequently enjoyable--almost any boy would agree. I speak from first-hand (no pun intended) experience.

I think for the current generation of teens and college age young adults, the propaganda is ubiquitous, and few have the confidence or maturity to know how to challenge it or articulate why it isn’t correct when it appears to be the consensus of everyone around them.

100%. If the psychology profession can not accurately absorb the data around childhood gender dysphoria and understand the risks of social and medical transition and filling kids' heads with pick your own gender ideology that will result in sterility and possible bone and sexual function loss, there is zero point to their degrees and accreditation agencies. The whole reason so many watchdog sites are popping up from across the spectrum is that these people can not even do their jobs around extremely dire issues.

I think that the authors of this letter are Spanish - because the first reference is Errasti, J. & Pérez, J. (2022) “Nadie nace en un cuerpo equivocado” - "No one is born in the wrong body", by two Spanish psychology professors from the Complutense University of Madrid, one of Spain's most prestigious Universities. This book explains the poor - non-existant! - theoretical basis of "queer theory" which seeks to "break the binary". Queer theory (Michel Foucault (France) and Judith Butler (US) ) is utter nonsense - dangerous nonsense.

Can I please add one more important general book to their reading list: Helen Joyce: "Trans: when ideology meets reality" (2021, One World Publications). Helen is an excellent journalist, originally with "The Economist" magazine. She has written an excellent general introduction to the ideology of "gender identity". She is the Director for Advocacy for the new (2021) group Sex-Matters.org, which campaigns for greater awareness of the importance of science and biological sex in all domains.

Please note that Professors Errasti and Perez are personally very brave. When their book was published in Spain in summer 2022 Trans Radical Activists made bomb threats (https://reduxx.info/spanish-psychologists-targeted-by-death-bomb-threats-over-critique-of-gender-ideology/).

Gender Identity ideology is consuming Spain. As of early 2023 the country is about to legalize "gender self-ID": https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/12/22/spains-legislators-approve-gender-self-identification-reforms

The Madrid professors have made numerous YouTube videos criticizing "gender identity" and drawing attention to the psychological destruction caused by this concept.

Their latest "round table" discussion was on 22nd December in Valencia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qmjk-AsRHw (2hr 20mins)

TRAs have also threatened the veteran Spanish feminist Carmen Calvo (https://www.lemonde.fr/en/international/article/2022/06/30/spanish-feminists-wage-war-against-future-law-on-gender-self-determination_5988456_4.html and https://womansplaceuk.org/2021/02/23/condemn-the-violent-threat-made-against-carmen-calvo/)

Trans Radical Activists are knowingly promoting an insane belief, a totally destructive belief. They are extremely dangerous.
