Your last words resonate strongly with our own situation and thanks so much for writing this.

I had just about given up on my own daughter

Thank you from a mom, a grandma and a great grandma. We all have to continue doing what we can to stop this horrible cult. Seeing an article published by Quillette that finally the American Academy of Pediatrics affirmative based gender dogma is being challenged made my day yesterday! See, we have another piece of hope shining through! And you are doing your part in speaking out, so very grateful for your courage and your wonderful and helpful story. May God bless you and your family.

PS: Thank you Stella O'Malley, author of the above-mentioned article.

Hold fast - reality is on your side.

By the way, other teachers are starting to push back against this nonsense, and at least in this case, the courts are backing them up.

There is a site that I use: https://www.pineapplefish56.net/Common-Sense-Settled-Science.html

Remember how Leftists always claim that Conservatives are Unscientific?

If there is anything that is “Settled Science”, it is that there are just TWO Genders!

What does her father have to say and what about the grandparents? I’d take my kid out of public schools and homeschool them and take them completely off of social media.

Thank you for sharing. This is so powerful!! I am a Christian therapist in solo private practice and I agree with all of it. I can not ‘affirm’ a lie, and for that I could technically lose my license and my livelihood. My profession has lost its collective mind. Those of us who see the evil of it have to keep speaking up.

Thank you. Gives a lot to think about. I had the reality after this of realizing at school they get affirmed to feel good today. At home we have the responsibility to care for them for life.

Christian liberal here. Thank you for writing. Our son is seeing a Christian therapist. He has very little to no experience with this. I don’t know if it has helped but it hasn’t hurt. Our son started school as a boy. Using boy pronouns and dress like always. He still has long hair and has begun painting nails black. All of which I can live with. He does still identify as female in his online games and has online friends who refer to him as his female chosen name. But I worry about after graduation. We have 2 years. I just hope it is enough time.

Thank you for writing this. Thank you for being a teacher and risking your job to protect children from the cult that preys on them. Thank you for the hope you are giving PITT community.

However, I think that it's time for all parents, especially the lucky ones whose children haven't yet become victims of this social contagion, to understand that:

- It must be illegal for teachers to initiate any discussion that could make students decide that "they were born in the wrong body."

- Glorifying students for coming out as somebody else and forcing students to use someone's preferred pronouns must be considered child abuse and punishable as a crime.

- Affirming therapists must not exist as an occupation. In extremely rare cases (less than 0.002% of males and 0.0006% of females,) when psychologists have solid proof that GD is the root cause of a person's distress, affirmation could be done as a last resort and in full cooperation with endocrinologists and family members.

We do not 'affirm' anorexic girls' belief that if they feel that they are fat, they are indeed fat and must stop eating; we do not 'affirm' teens' self-harming behaviors by suggesting them 'safer' methods of cutting themselves; we must not affirm our kids' desires to become someone else because their TikTok 'friends' told them they must be born "in the wrong bodies."

That is such a heart felt peace of writing! I will share this with the ones who will be heartened by your words. As an older lesbian feminist woman who've fought for a better world all of my life, I never thought I would be living inside Aldous Huxley's Brave New World or Orson Welles' dystopian realities. But here we are being forced to play out someone (man's) transhumanist ideology, and being forced to live with the 'unintended' consequences, without our consent, without our voices heard, in democratic societies that have become autocratic societies penetrating the very core of our beings. Please don't!
