Sadly, Canada is among the worst offenders for promoting the lie of gender ideology in schools, medicine, government, etc. There is significant pushback in the UK and the U.S., with only a few Canadian voices speaking out. I just discovered that Mark Carney's daughter was, at some point, a patient at the GIDS centre at London's Tavistock clinic. She is a "they/them" and a writer who has studied "gender studies". I don't know what Carney's beliefs are on gender, but I don't think a win by Carney will help anyone who knows this is a harmful cult.
