Thought psychologists were not considered medical doctors and therefore can’t prescribe drugs etc?

How interesting that she doesn't want her own healthy kid to get a teacher proselytizing about gender identities. God forbid her beloved child gets brainwashed into believing he/she is born in the wrong body and ends up chemically poisoned and surgically harmed. She wouldn't wish that on anybody's child...or would she?...

Awesome article. It was so illuminating to me recently to hear that these trans adults MUST advocate for child sexual mutilation surgeries, because if they don't, they can't make an argument that a person is "born that way." If there are no trans kids, then there can't be any trans adults. Richard Levine (soon to be out of a job, thankfully) has been quoted as saying that he was glad he didn't have Sex reassignment surgery until after he had fathered his kids, because they are his greatest blessings. Does he seriously not see that he is DENYING this blessing to other people by advocating for their early sterilization?? Our entire culture is suffering from some satanic, mass delusion.

This whole cult is evil. It's practitioners are evil. This is all about getting to the children and it's about practitioners selling their souls for money, reputation and great egos....it all comes from and involves evil.

These two doctors are VERY concerned about their reputations and their vulnerability to civil suits. An optimistic take is that the cover your a** movement is picking up steam. The media will print more pieces critical of gender ideology to demonstrate that they have always been giving us the whole story. Healthcare providers will pull back from their on-demand dispensing of blockers and hormones out of fear of litigation. Activists will claim that careful psychological evaluations are the norm. In a year or two no one will be admitting that they actively promoted this madness. Your Progressive friends and neighbors will conveniently forget their nasty accusations of bigotry. Maybe they will even take down their "Hate has no home here" sign. The big question I have is how the AAP will reconcile its commitment to evidence-based medicine with the systematic reviews done in Europe and the failed and retracted systematic review that WPATH commissioned from Johns Hopkins. The AAP voluntarily committed to an open and unbiased systematic review of their own a year ago, without a peep since. Will they go all in and do an activist review that blatantly abuses the methodology and standards of evidence-based medicine? I think they have to. There is no way they will acknowledge that they have been mutilating kids based on emotional and political sentiment. That would be an invitation to lawsuits and professional censure. If the medical community pulls back, the next challenge is getting schools to stop teaching kids that they might be in the wrong body. It's going to be very difficult to get people who believe in their moral superiority to acknowledge the harm they have done.

Like the Satanic Panic and every other moral panic, the Trans Moral Panic will be ended by the lawsuits.

Once they no longer have the financial incentive, they'll stop.

They always do.

You'd be surprised what people are capable of dismissing as "okay, I made a mistake. But everyone else was doing it too."

The people who got into the Satanic panic did not keep pushing it, and they did not apologize. They just refused to discuss it and went on with their lives.

Same thing will happen with the Trans Moral Panic.

Except this time, I'm willing to bet the parents who got sucked into it will try to position themselves as the new "victims".

But unlike the Satanic panic there are lots of destroyed bodies and lives hanging around. Harder to ignore.

Yes, the destroyed bodies are a horror from which we can never wake. But the Satanic panic left behind destroyed families and parents forced to piece them back together at unbelievable emotional cost.

It's extraordinary what people are willing to ignore.

I thought Norman Spack first brought the Dutch harming “protocol” to the US. I rarely see him mentioned in the dogma of a transgender kid.

He did it with Laura. Laura changed the failed Dutch protocol when they brought it to the US to take down more guardrails. What was that change based upon? Greed of course.

This article is awesome. Thanks for writing it. Looking forward to Part II. This technique of sort-of, kind-of, agreeing that there are some problems....while continuing to push and profit from the whole thing.....is a classic.

Thank you for spelling this out:

Note that even the Dutch protocol is an experiment. Regret times are 5-10 years and they only checked about a year after surgery (honeymoon period), these kids were at a mature 20,21. Sure, whatever seems good to you at 20,21 will be right for the rest of your life.../s

It's like doing a breast cancer study, checking everyone a few months after starting treatment and then saying it works and not checking again! Even when people know it takes about 5 years to start being able to reliably think cancer was beaten down.

See "The Myth of “Reliable Research” in Pediatric Gender Medicine: A critical evaluation of the Dutch Studies—and research that has followed"--everyone keeps going back to the Dutch kids and protocol, but we know most of those young kids outgrow it (and most of them are gay or lesbian, but not all, in fact most of the kids in the Dutch study were gay or lesbian) and that no one knows how to figure out who won't. And we know we don't even know if those who don't outgrow it would be better off with other support rather than medical intervention.

Because they haven't checked.

Even better would be to check 300 kids and have them predict which ones would still want these interventions when older. And then wait and check. Instead of starting thousands of minors on these drugs every year.

Correct. The regret happens as late as 10-15 years after. If there are no follow-up studies keeping track of each and every kid who transitioned for at least 15 years, then there is zero science here.

These people make me sick to my stomach. They are playing God, and God doesn’t make mistakes my son was born a boy and is now pretending to be a woman . Thankfully he hasn’t had any surgeries , he told us at 23 and now is 31. He hasn’t spoken to me in a year , and before his grandma passed he hadn’t spoken to me in 2 years. These idiot Doctors fail to see not only the damage they do to children but the families they do damage too. I lay awake sometimes and wonder what damage the hormones are going to do . Is my son no longer able to enjoy sexual pleasure, no longer able to have a child . At risk for brittle bones or an early cancer or something we don’t even know ? My son was stolen from me, being on PITT, I realize I’m not alone in my sorrow and pain . My son did have mental issues and was easy pray to these demonic people. It’s a cult that our society has perpetrated. No child should be put upon by other peoples ignorance of the truth. These are innocent children with issues that are not going to be fixed by becoming another Gender. Please to all you People, Therapists, Doctors, teachers, psychologists, stop the insanity and stop playing God!

I have a similar story. My son "came out" when he was almost 20 in 2017 after his first semester in college. I watched him go through all the external changes. Dress, nails, hair extensions, pretend voice, exaggerated walk, etc. He never shared what he was doing underneath the external facade. Around Christmas of 2020 he stopped all communication and contact. I'm sure following the cult's advice to sever relations with anyone who doesn't affirm to the hilt. I have no idea if he's had surgeries nor what forever life altering drugs he may have used. His zealously affirming mother (we divorced when he was a little boy) won't share his status with me. My son was a gentle, trusting and loving soul. He was easy prey for the evil and cunning monsters in the cult. I have no idea when or if I will ever see my son again. Nearly every day my heart anguishes over the turmoil his soul must experience on an ongoing basis. Every one of these "experts" will get what they deserve. If not in this life, certainly in journey that begins when their mortality ends. I hope and pray one day our sons find a way to return.

"Mental Health Establishment is Failing Trans Kids, Gender exploratory therapy is a key step. Why aren’t therapist providing it?"

What a title by Wapo! The mental health industry is not failing "trans kids." "Trans kids" are not real. "Trans kids" are words used when "gender" is explored. Stop exploring "gender," the gravy train of "trans kids" dries up. Edwards-Leeper and Anderson need to be prosecuted for crimes against children. They and their ilk are task masters for the medical-industrial-technological industries who desire to trade in synthetic futures. Articles like this are needed by industry in an age of growing dissent so that the engines of an industry hum on. They must keep exploring "gender" at all cost.

Both of these so called "doctors" are monsters who deserve to have their medical licensed revoked and imprisoned for mutilation of children (and confused adults.) Their hypocrisy is truly disgusting. I have utter contempt for both of these horrid so called "medical" providers. What they provide and advocate for (harmful drugs , sterilization, and disfiguring surgeries) is immoral, barbaric, and shameful. To say that they damage their victims and shatter families is an understatement.
