That's right parents, keep the door open, keep grace alive, do not ever give up hope.

Oh my this brought me to tears.

Beautiful imagery. (hits home in my state)

Yes, it is hard work, and we fight for hope.

Praying for all of you to see that bridge rebuilt and our loved ones restored.

Sometimes poetry is a great way to remind ourselves why we have language. God Bless.

You wrote “we have few tools….. we work to clear the limbs…”. I hope every parent has good people to lean on for support, because it might be too much to struggle alone. Find support so that it is “we”.

I feel the struggle alone and I get more hopeless. It’s just my husband and I.

It’s very lonely isn’t it. I find that only other parents going through the same thing really understand this grief. Hopefully you can connect with some like minded parents so you have some understanding and support. Even if it’s only online? Hang in there ❤️‍🩹

Thank you for the beautiful imagery of this poem. It’s a creative work about the creative work we all engage in when we seek reconciliation with someone. It’s hard work. Destroying is easy. Rebuilding is hard. God bless you and all of us in our labors of love.
