The Democratic Party Is Dying on the Hill of Gender Ideology

Hey democratic leaders - how’s one-party republican rule working for you? Get used to it. Until democratic politicians abandon their support for gender ideology, democrats will not see the inside of the Oval office and will lose close elections in the House and Senate.

Democratic politicians don’t want to talk about trans? Of course not, why would they? Right now, the democratic party is known as the party of gender ideology and they are losing elections as a result. Remember that 2024 campaign ad with the tag line “Kamala is for they/them; President Trump is for you.”? That’s just the start. Just wait until the 2026 mid-term elections and the 2028 presidential elections. Democrats will be repeatedly tagged as the trans party. Their support of gender ideology will be damning evidence that democratic politicians are out of touch with the vast majority of Americans.

Democratic politicians are unanimous and unyielding in their support of all things trans. That includes gender affirming care for kids, trans women (men) in women’s sports and women’s locker rooms and faulty reporting on official documents (driver’s licenses, crime stats, etc). My question is.. why? A New York Times/Ipsos poll conducted in January found that 79 percent of Americans, including more than two-thirds of Democrats, opposed allowing transgender women to compete in women’s sports. Democrats can read polls - why would any sane politician support such an unpopular issue when there are so many reasons to reject this ideology?

There are a couple of obvious political reasons, and perhaps one dirty little secret reason, that would explain why democratic politicians support gender ideology. One obvious reason is because republican politicians, and especially President Trump, don’t support gender ideology. It’s unfortunate that American politics has become so contentious because objections to gender ideology are science based, not ideological, fact. Also, democratic politicians have traditionally supported groups like Planned Parenthood and the ACLU and they want to continue supporting those groups even though those groups have been completely captured by gender ideology and profit handsomely from that capture. But the dirty little secret requires some background.

Imagine what it must be like to be an affirming parent, a glitter parent. Your kid got this crazy idea that he was born in the wrong body, possibly from the internet, and you are completely behind it, and allow and support all the medical “treatments” that go along with it. But you start to hear things that suggest you might have made a mistake. Many European countries have retreated from these treatments for minors. States are starting to ban these treatments and the Supreme Court upheld their right to do so. Some LGB rights groups and democratic groups are starting to support bans on these treatments for minors. Would you reconsider your views? I think not. You would have to not only admit that your child was harmed but face the fact that you supported that harm and even cheered it on. The guilt for parents in this situation would be overwhelming and I suspect that such parents cannot admit to themselves that they promoted such horrific harm to their own child. So, what do these parents do? They double down. They do anything to uphold and validate the gender ideology model of the world. That includes upholding gender ideology in all organizations, HR departments, media organizations, schools, and the democratic party.

Now look at the democratic party and its supporters. Both the democratic and republican parties have celebrity supporters. But if you search for “celebrities with trans kids”, you’ll see a list of over two dozen actors, actresses, and other celebrities, and virtually every single one is a democrat or strongly supports democratic candidates and causes. Any criticism of gender ideology effectively tells these parents that they made a mistake - they supported the harming of their own child. It’s obvious that democratic party leaders don’t want to offend these popular, visible supporters of the democratic party. The dirty little secret is that celebrity and influential affirming parents insist that democratic politicians provide unconditional support for all gender ideology ideas, no matter how unpopular they may be.

I suspect that affirming parents will be die-hard supporters of gender ideology until the bitter end. Some day in the future when all gender clinics are gone, “gender affirming care” is illegal, and this nightmare is a dark artifact of history, there will still be affirming parents righteously defending the harm they enabled on their children, even as it becomes apparent that the gender doctors they trusted were monsters.

In any case, more and more rank-and-file democrats have had enough of this cult-like disease and are no longer supporting democratic politicians who support gender ideology. Democrats for an Informed Approach to Gender is a growing organization of democrats who oppose gender ideology. So how can the democratic party walk back their support of gender ideology? Individual democratic politicians and eventually all democratic politicians could start talking about science and family. Publicly state that there is no credible science behind “gender affirming care”, it should be banned for minors. Talk about women’s rights and that males should be banned from women’s locker rooms, sports teams, and other women’s spaces. Bring up gay rights, and that kids who might grow up to be gay should not be “transed” simply because they are different. There is much more to be done, but these actions would be a meaningful start. Gender ideology is losing more and more credibility every day. Now is the time for the democratic party to pivot away from trans.

But will democratic politicians continue to fully support gender ideology and win big in the midterm elections anyway? After all, there have been many controversial changes in government since the 2024 elections. But Democratic politicians would be fools to underestimate the resolve of democrats who want to end the party’s support for trans ideology. Democratic leaders are currently forcing democrats like me to make a choice: Should I vote for the democratic party? Or should I vote to protect my family against a disease/cult that attacks our families, harms and steals our children, and makes a mockery of all women’s sports and women’s rights, and is trans-ing gays out of existence? I will vote to protect my family. Every - single - time. Is that really the choice democratic leaders want to present to voters?

Hey democratic leaders - have you figured out that harming children is bad politics? Are you ready to start advocating for science and family? Or will the democratic party become a permanent minority party? Trans is not the hill to die on.
