If only we were living out a Fairy Tale...but the truth is that the ghouls, goblins, monsters, trolls, and witches have descended into our world and the innocent children believe they are real and believe their lies. Your writing is very good, great imagination, too. If only it was just a story...

That was a truly wonderful and beautiful story. Touched my heart. We all need a happy ending.

You should self publish it. I would buy it and deposit a copy to every library and school in my area.

Yes, they twist everything around and sneak their ideology into places where you do not expect it. The other grandmother read a harmless looking book to my grandkids and it had a surprise ending where the girl turns out to be a boy

If you look up gender affirming books for young children you will be amazed at how many you find ! I would also love to see a book from the perspective of a sibling with a title like No, I Don’t Want My Sister to Be My Brother

I don't recall the exact title but I found a book that seemed to be that premise once – it was affirming! Not even our true words are immune from twisting.

Ain’t that the truth. A story to tell my kids at preschool. And then they move on. Not so for us though, left to pick up the pieces, forever changed

Lovely modern fairy tale - and with the inevitable happy-ever-after ending, too! If she wasn't already seventeen and gay, I'd read it to my daughter!

I enjoyed this fairytale, especially when compared to the one being told in our real world today. I didn't know how much I was connecting to this emotionally until the end when I actually got goosebumps from the princess's true awakening.
