I stopped supporting Planned Parenthood the moment I found out they were distributing hormones. It's a double edged sword for me because I do want to support women's reproductive health. This BS is destroying us.

FYI in Chicago:

"Chicago children's hospital admits reliance on 'anecdotal evidence' for treatment of 'trans' youth

"There is there is not a full range of evidence to support the treatments that we're using, but there was a lot of anecdotal evidence to support it," said Dr. Robert Garofalo."

I would say it's time for PP to get back to its core mission, providing reproductive and related healthcare, and get out of the cross-sex hormone business. We need PP for birth control, abortions, mammograms, and the like. But gender-related treatments are a separate...let's say specialty that they have no experience in.

I think that PP/Planned Destruction is too captured. They need to be shutdown and a new organization can be formed - like Reproductive Health Services or some such.

There are some creepy things about Planned Parenthood's history. They may have been doing awful things all along, while presenting a very different face. I had no idea of that, I thought they were good, and I was grateful for accessible gyn exams and STD testing and free condoms. And I think abortion should be safe and legal, but adding "rare" and "early" to that doesn't make one hateful or anti-choice.

There's so much wrapped around the political party that claims to be about inclusivity and human rights and progress that is sinister and run by a pharmaceutical behemoth that seems to want far more than just to increase profits. And because the messaging has always been about progress and justice and inclusiveness ... ( and protection and keeping each other safe ), they are able to get away with so much manipulation ... and lies .. and poisoning ..

Planned Parenthood realizes the s@#!-load of lawsuits they'll be facing in the upcoming years for their evil, reckless T agenda. That is why they are pushing so hard for donations.

If they can't kill the babies before they're born, they want to limit the ability to procreate later by messing with bodies/hormones now. They need to make their money somehow since Roe v Wade was overturned. And they have the nerve to present as a non-profit.

That is true, but how does a "Non-Profit" that receives Tax-Payer money able to "Donate" $500,000 to elect Democrats?

Planned Parenthood has direct access to children through their "clinics in schools". They are market makers, as it were. (PP CEO Alexis McGill Johnson is a trustee at the all girls Spence School in NYC)

Your grammar is perfect! we were just pointing out that 'the kids' have to be 18.

Check out gofundme ...search 'top surgery' and read the 30 or 40 of the entries. It is utterly heartbreaking.

I agree with all who say they won't send money to PP anymore. I think withholding money is the only way to get an organization to change. Similarly, I think we should expose and boycott surgeons who perform cross-gender surgeries (not that ya'll are running out to get tummy tucks). There are directories of such surgeons, such as https://www.transhealthcare.org/usa/. We should find message boards that parents/older adults use in our states and post these people's names.

I send the solicitations back to Panned Parenthood with comments such as "not donating till you stop embracing gender ideology." Then sometimes I go into detail about my concerns (e.g. misogyny, harming kids, anti-science, etc. and I often suggest that they read & discuss books by Helen Joyce, Abagail Shrier, etc. Same for ACLU and democratic Committee, and so forth

Same here. I've told them not one more ounce of support as long as they deal in sex hormones or let males into the clinics.

I also return Planned Parenthood solicitations with a note about my contempt for them poisoning my son and other young people with providing immediate access to wrong sex hormones. I urge others to mail back Planned Parenthood prepaid postage solicitations for donations with a note about the truth about how vile they are. This wasting of their prepaid postage will take some of their blood money profits.

We need lawyers to gather detransitioners harmed by Planned Parenthood to initiate a class action lawsuit. This organization is truly scum, and they need to be exposed and destroyed. Planned Parenthood is a vector for the planned dysfunction of vulnerable young people, many on the autistic spectrrum with mental health difficulties, who need compassiobate, nuanced, skilled psychological care. The dispensing of wrong sex hormones like candy by Planned Parenthood is obvious malpractice, shameful, and greedy

How on earth can murdering an unborn baby be a 'right' of any kind? PP should be closed, for sure, but not for the reasons you cite.

No, the OP made much of what she considers to be a 'right' to kill human babies. If you attach that to an argument, you render the entire argument invalid and you invite legitimate criticism. Her promotion of a pro-abortion argument dressed up as an anti-hormone one is the oldest semantic trick in the book, a classic bait-and-switch. Don't read my responses if you don't like my principles.

Because this issue has been politicized, sane, reasonable discussions have become rare, and thus violent rhetoric and heightened passion has made the issue even more polarized. For example: Boston Children's Hospital has become a lightening rod for folks who are trying to stop the wave of medicalizations, and thus the violent rhetoric obscures the very reasonable safeguarding and philosophical issues. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/internet/boston-childrens-hospital-warns-employees-far-right-online-harassment-rcna43376. Everyone is doubling down on their positions, to the detriment of the folks who do need some kind of compassionate care. The capture of the USA medical system by the Gender Affirmation model has led us to this odd place where"Sex change" is considered reasonable, desirable and easy, and a civil right. It is outrageous.

I myself have only ever written polite letters since being plunged into this in 2017. One either receives back a DEI/"trans" inclusion rights sort of response or no response at all. I think lawsuits will be very important. No lawyers were willing to take up the wrong of affirmation at school in 2017. I believe that is just as destructive as butcher doctors as it gets the mind in a cult - even if many "educators" are simply misguided. Anyhow, I do believe a few of the worst docs ought to be behind bars for what they do and as a warning to others. I'm not really sorry to see verbal pressure on these places. Most people on the "right" or the "left" have not really noticed the issue until very recently. You don't get it unless it's your family. Eyeballs need to be opened. And, the media will say everyone who disagrees with them is a right wing extremist no matter what.

There are many things that need changing - the teacher's unions which promote this to clueless schools/teachers, Planned Destruction, etc. As far as voting I will only vote for people now who are strong against RGT - without regard to political party.

Thank you so much for this essay. I have been thinking the exact same thing, it was so important for me to read this. I think that we need to organize, legally and medically, to push back on the status quote of trans ideology as the norm. Our children and young adults need to be protected and respected, they need to be the priority over the medical and pharmaceutical franchise. Thank you.
