I did high school theater twenty years ago, and the thought of a castmate’s mother writing a piece scrutinizing my body and posting it online - anonymously or not - is just gross. There were other ways to write about this experience without sounded disgusted and contemptuous, and without sounding like you’re dehumanizing these girls.

They're teenage girls who were essentially turned into medical experiments by adults who ought to know better. People write so many posts here about how their vulnerable, beloved teenage children were essentially brainwashed into a trans identity, so why is this author suddenly turning around and talking about them like they're these repulsive, subhuman creatures?

"I detransitioned a year ago, and I'm completely depressed because I don't think I'll ever find anyone who wants to date me."
