In response to my own note below I found nine posts from the Minneapolis Star supporting Minnesota becoming a sanctuary state with claims of how safe puberty blockers are and how needed this gender affirming care is for youth Of course they ignored my letter! Then I searched and found eight more articles from others sources including the AP News, MPR, CBS, CNN , Time Magazine , US News and World Report,,PBS, and The Des Moines Register saying similar things I could not find a single article questioning if this was a good idea!

My daughter is going full steam ahead with transing my granddaughter Yesterday she told a relative who tried to talk her out of what she is doing that “he is more and more a boy everyday” She tried to get the post on my Facebook page about ROGD kids removed by Facebook The media will not cover this I sent my story to a reporter at the Minneapolis Star and never got any reply back However I did find an article about how great it is that Minnesota is a sanctuary state with a photo of a smiling family and their 6 year old trans child

Children under the age of about 7 lack the cognitive ability to grasp sex permanence: the idea that everyone is either male or female on the basis of their anatomy, and that their sex cannot change. So it's not surprising that a six-year-old girl doesn't understand that she is a girl and will become a woman if she grows up.
How sad that a child believes they are "nothing". We had two grandparents in our state that testified for the Safe Act. Sadly, many are estranged and ghosted and not given any chance to try and talk to their grandchildren and be able to share their wisdom on the fact that no one can change sex and this whole movement is a medical scam/scandal/cult. Cutting family out is a cult tactic.
Abject failure of government to protect it's citizens, families, children from obvious right from wrong. Catastrophic failure! The damage is untold and incalculable. Experts have failed, elect has failed, academia has failed. People have been fooled into believing nonsense. We must all stand for truth and say No. Gaaaaaaaaaaaa!
I don’t respect your exaggeration and hyperbole. I have no idea how saying Gaaaaaa or you saying no will change the situation. The way out of this is focus on good specific evidence. Please read the SEGM website and think about this. There’s other fact based websites.
I have spoken with folks at all the major groups in the US doing this work and none of them have specific support groups for grandparents. The only one is PFLAG and they are pushing the trans agenda If you start a grandparent group and let Our Duty know they can find more people for your group and be a connection for grandparents worldwide . Parents may be afraid to speak out for fear of having their child taken away . Grandparents, especially those of us who are already estranged, having nothing to lose by speaking out .
I really like the idea of grandparents taking up this important work. I just passed on the Encourage info to a grandma friend who's devastated by the capture of her autistic granddaughter (in WA state). Encourage is Catholic tho. May not work for a lot of people.
The grandparent group is forming The first two of us started talking tonight .We want to work to lobby congress for a national ban on gender affirming care for minors Folks can contact Our Duty for referrals
We are we writing to our own senators and congressmen We are working on a Facebook business page to post a form letter folks can use In meantime write your own paper letters and urge them to promote and pass the Protect Children’s Innocence Act introduced by JD Vance If you look it up you can find language and statistics to put in your letter
I’ve been thinking about this article all day. With 94% of voters opposing these bills (or at least 94% of those who chose to comment on it), it would seem to open the door very wide to an outsider candidate winning the governorship on this issue alone. Someone could simply be the “I won’t separate families” candidate. Even with immigration under Trump (a highly contentious issue), it was the concept of separating families at the border that seemed to unite the parties because virtually every human considers that to be cruel.

Agree Grandma Eileen - we need to stand together regardless of religious affiliation - the aim of this petition is to protect our children from harmful gender ideology and the associated woke laws springing up everywhere. That’s what matters - not which church you attend (if any) and their historical wrongs. “United we stand, divided we fall”. Good luck Dawn! Keep fighting the good fight!
