If a grown adult wants to pursue loping off body parts as an elective cosmetic surgery procedure because they think it will make them feel better in their body, then I say OK.......BUT.....BUT...... it should NOT be covered by insurance. It should be an out of pocket expense only. EVERYONE who has health insurance pays in higher rates/premiums and copays/deductibles when costly cosmetic procedures are covered by insurance. I'd like to know how many who join the military do so because they can get this covered by insurance?...... and military benefits are sponsored by using tax payer $$$$!!!

Gender reassignment surgery and cross sex hormones will undoubtedly make the patient less healthy and on average it will reduce their lifespan. Doctors have a job to do: heal the sick. Making people sicker is unethical. If I went to a surgeon and asked for a leg off, they’d turn me down for that as well, although it wouldn’t kill me.

Exactly. You'll never get a physician to prescribe cigarettes for you.
