Episode one of Uncomfortable Truths is complete! We previewed a test screening at Genspect's The Bigger Picture conference in Denver, and it received a standing ovation. Many people told me it was the only film on the subject that they'd feel comfortable sharing with people who are "on the fence" on the gender issue. I'm excited to complete the series and get it out there for everyone to see.
My now 54-year old DAUGHTER told me a few years ago that she wanted to have a double mastectomy because, "I've always thought like a man." "Ha," I said, "I'm a man and I'm not sure how men think." Immediately she said, "I'm a girl, dad." She has suffered tremendous abuse by "profesionals" and peers who confirm her confusion. She remains my daugher, and I love her deeply.
This is my take on it too! Just as there is no way for me to know whether the way I perceive, say, a particular color is the same way you do, I similarly cannot say I experience “being a woman” in the same way other people do. That’s what makes all this “gender identity” stuff so meaningless. At best, it’s completely reliant on stereotypes. "Oh I'm more logical than emotional so I just be a man." NO.
Each of us only knows what it's like to be ourselves. Even if I had an identical twin, I would never presume to think that I would know what it feels like to be her.
It's really hard to watch Helen Joyce because she is so obsessed with the idea that the transgenderist cult is American.
In fact, it was incubated in CANADA. It's CANADIAN.
And it was pioneered in the UK. It's BRITISH.
When she says, "That's so American. Who talks like this about their child?" the answer is, "Every British parent who ever took their child to the TAVISTOCK CLINIC."

I found Buck Angel's prominent feature in this film to be disturbing and counterproductive.
